Better Vehicles

If you ever felt that Astroneer’s vehicles were always stuck in first gear, you’ve come to the right place! This mod modifies the performance of various vehicles to make them more enjoyable to use, and makes their physics more realistic.

All vehicles and trains:

• increased caravan length to 8 (most vehicles), 16 (tractors & trailers), and 25 (train cars)

Tractor:

• higher torque, slightly less speed

Buggy:

• much higher top speed
• slower acceleration

Medium rover:

• improved torque

Large rover:

• overall better handling

Hoverboard:

• higher top speed
• Significantly reduced fall damage. No longer can you die from simply hitting a rock during your travels!

VTOL:

• significantly faster top speed
• slightly higher fuel consumption

COLE:

• faster top speed
