Trouble In FordTown

An Unofficial TTT gamemode for BONELAB Fusion. Works on PCVR and Quest. EARLY ACCESS EXPECT SOME BUGS, I am working hard on fixing bugs every update.

How to play

The host picks Trouble In FordTown from the Fusion Gamemodes tab. Everyone gets a random loadout during the prep phase and then roles are assigned secretly. Traitors know who each other are. Everyone else has to figure it out. Dead players turn invisible and can only talk to other dead players. Round ends when one side wins or the timer runs out.

Roles

Innocent — find and kill all the Traitors to win. You don't know who anyone else is.

Traitor — kill everyone without getting caught. You can see other Traitors and buy stuff from the Traitor Shop.

Detective — your role is public. Help the Innocents find the Traitors.

Jester (4+ players) — your goal is to get an Innocent to kill you. If they do, you become a Psychopath and they die too for getting tricked.

Psychopath — what the Jester becomes after getting killed by an Innocent. Now you just have to kill everyone.

Lone Wolf (4+ players) — you win by being the last person alive. No team.

Glitch (4+ players) — you show up as a Traitor to the Traitors, but you're actually on the Innocent side. Win with them.

Hypnotist (4+ players) - you are on the traitor team and you have a special gun that revives and brainwashes dead innocents back and turns them into traitors. Spectator (4+ players) — you're dead. Wait for the round to end.

Traitor Shop

Open the BoneLib radial menu to access the shop. Only works if you're a Traitor mid-round.

  • More Traitor Shop Items in Future Updates

  • Knife (2 TP) — gives you a knife that you can use to stab your enemies without a loud gun

  • Health Boost (1 TP) — restore your health

You start each round with 2 TP and earn 1 more per correct kill.

Corpse inspector

When someone dies their ragdoll stays on the floor until the round ends. Get close to a body with either hand and it'll show you the player's name, their role, the weapon used, and how long ago they died.

Wrist indicator

Look at your left wrist during a round to see your role, the time left, and your TP balance if you're a Traitor.

Karma

The host can enable Karma in the gamemode settings. It persists between rounds and drops when you kill the wrong people. Low enough karma gets you kicked.

Installation

Drop TroubleInFordTown.dll into your BONELAB/Mods folder. On Quest it goes in Melonloader/com.StressLevelZero.BONELAB/Mods. Everyone in the lobby needs the same version of Fusion, BoneLib, and this mod.

Requires LabFusion and BoneLib.

WARNING THIS MOD IS BUGGY FOR NOW AND I RECOMMEND PLAYING FORD ROYALE INSTEAD IF YOU WANT A LESS BUGGY GAMEMODE PLAYING FORD ROYALE, IT IS MUCH LESS BUGGY AND MORE ENJOYABLE IF YOU LIKE BATTLE ROYALE VR GAMES.   • Reworked spectator voice: dead players can now talk to each other and can still hear living players, but the living can NOT hear the dead. You're also muted to the living the instant you die, so you can't blurt out who killed you before the round moves on.
  • New host setting "One-Stab Knife" (Traitor Gear, OFF by default): replaces the Traitor knife with a one-hit-kill knife that becomes ungrabbable after it stabs someone.
  • A Jester who becomes the Psychopath now respawns with the same primary weapon they had as the Jester.
  • Fixed the Jester wrongly getting the "THE JESTER TRICKED YOU" message when they were killed — that message now only shows to a player who actually killed a Jester.

  • Missing/old BoneLib no longer breaks the gamemode — the menus and win music are now optional; if BoneLib has a problem the gamemode still registers and shows up, just without those extras.
  • Roles Info menu no longer cuts off the longer role descriptions — each role is now its own page with the full description, opened from the role list.

  • Fixed players (and their corpse) sometimes landing at a respawn point instead of the death spot — if the game teleported the rig a moment before the death registered, that respawn position got captured as the death location; a teleport guard now keeps the true death spot
  • Fixed the Hypnotist's brainwashing gun sometimes not spawning — the spawn could quietly fail on round start and was never retried; it now keeps trying until the gun actually lands (without ever giving you two)

  • Actually fixed the "cyclic dependency" load failure — lets the mod load normally again
  • Spectators now spawn slightly above and to the side of their corpse so they drop onto the floor instead of spawning with their legs stuck in the ground
  • Corpse fingers no longer move — dead bodies stayed wired to your live controller and their fingers would curl whenever you gripped something; they're now frozen limp
