Flashcard (Fixed)
Fixed by ElfDevelop
Unofficial fix of Flashcard by loaforc. All credit for the mod goes to the original author.
What was fixed (0.3.4)
- The game replaced ffmpeg with the LibVE encoder, so the old
FfmpegEncoderpatch crashed on load and took the rest of the mod with it.ClipQualitynow sets LibVE's target bitrate (the game default is 25k). ClipFramerateis not supported by the new encoder; the game always records at 24 fps and the mod logs a warning if you set something else.- Patches are applied one by one, so a single broken target no longer disables the whole mod.
- The extra camera spawns next to the game's own camera spawn point instead of coordinates from the old house layout.
Install
- Use it instead of the original Flashcard (same plugin GUID; if both are installed, BepInEx loads only the newer version).
- Everyone in the lobby should use the same version.
CHANGELOG
0.3.8
- The game replaced ffmpeg with the LibVE encoder, so the old
FfmpegEncoderpatch crashed on load and took the rest of the mod with it.ClipQualitynow sets LibVE's target bitrate (the game default is 25k). ClipFramerateis not supported by the new encoder; the game always records at 24 fps and the mod logs a warning if you set something else.- Patches are applied one by one, so a single broken target no longer disables the whole mod.
- The extra camera spawns next to the game's own camera spawn point instead of coordinates from the old house layout.
- 0.3.5:
ClipQualityis capped at 150k and the packet delay at 0.2 s (new defaults 100k and 0.1 s). Bigger clips could not be shared within the extractor's ~60 s wait, so extraction timed out and the screen showed nothing. - 0.3.6: clips reach players who joined with the room code. Such a player is in the Photon room but not in the host's Steam lobby, and every chunk (re-requests included) went through Mycelium, which only reaches the Steam lobby, so their clips never arrived. Mycelium is now used only when it reaches every player; otherwise clips go through Photon like in the base game.
- 0.3.6: a clip is re-requested only after 6 s without a new chunk, and chunks already received are kept. The game re-requested 2 s after the "sent" report and threw the received chunks away, so clips could loop between re-requests.
- 0.3.7: better video quality.
ClipQualitydefaults to 400k and is capped at 400k (was 100k and 150k); a 3-minute clip still shares in about 45 s now that clips reach everyone. The encoder no longer compresses past quantizer 40 (the game allows 50), so dark scenes keep more detail. The game still records at 420x420. - 0.3.8: the "Save video" button works for every video (base game bugs). The game switched the button off when the video screen closed and never back on, so later videos that evening could not be saved; saving the same video twice threw because the file already existed (a free name like
content_warning_<id>_2.webmis used now); lost discs no longer save the previous video.
