README

Star System Production

Loki Moon Labs · Version 0.2.0 · Dyson Sphere Program 0.10.35.29151

Browse what your planets produce, the machines making each product, and their recipes—all in one window with native game icons.

Open the browser

Click the gear-and-output button above the game's Production button. Hover over the button for its tooltip. Click it again, press Escape, or use X to close the window.

The window follows the control panel's styling, with dark translucent panes, independent scrolling, a slim divider, and larger product icons. It blocks clicks behind the window without pausing the game.

Features

  • Machine → Product → Recipe → Produced/min columns. Machine counts appear beside each machine.
  • Live planet and system names that follow player renames automatically.
  • Actual game item and building icons, including installed modded items.
  • Recipe ingredients, outputs and quantities. Hover the recipe name for the complete recipe.
  • Native drop-downs for location, sorting and statistics time range.
  • Search by planet, system or product, and filter to the current system.
  • 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 10 hours, 100 hours, and Total selections.
  • Stable selection and row identities during refreshes. Changing planets resets only the product list's scroll position.
  • Tooltips use reserved space below the lists instead of covering their buttons.

Production statistics

Timed views show actual recorded output per minute, using the same full-window production totals and divisors as the game's production statistics. Total changes the final column to Total produced, showing the lifetime production count instead of a rate.

Each planet/product has one production rate across all its machines and recipes. Where several combinations make an item, their machines and recipes are listed together; the rate is shown once. Counts mean placed machines currently configured for that product, including idle machines.

Production history remains listed when recent output is zero. Inventory and consumption alone do not qualify as production. If an old producer has been removed, its recorded product remains visible as Production history; no current machine. Custom or virtual producers without an exposed machine component may show producer unavailable. The browser does not invent machines or theoretical rates to fill these gaps.

Mapped sources include assemblers, smelters, refineries, chemical plants, manufacturing labs, fractionators, miners, pumps, orbital collectors, ray receivers in product mode, and energy exchangers. Non-recipe processes use descriptive process labels. Research labs and logistics transfers are not manufacturing recipes.

Locate and Warp

  • Locate opens the star map and focuses the chosen planet.
  • Warp sets the navigation target using the same action as Star System Explorer's Locate button. Travel requires an installed navigation mod that responds to that target. Star System Production does not teleport Icarus or provide its own autopilot.

Compatibility and performance

Requires BepInEx 5. Star System Explorer and navigation mods are optional. The Chinese to English Mod Translator is an optional fallback for untranslated names when English is selected.

Live game recipes, item prototypes, planet names and production statistics are used, allowing installed mods' recorded production effects to appear without applying their multipliers again. This mod does not change inventories, recipes, station limits, terrain, saves or other mods' settings.

Machine discovery runs only while the browser is open and scans only the selected planet's existing factory. Work is spread across frames, and unchanged records are reused. It never requests planet terrain loading. No fixed FPS gain is claimed.

For comparisons with StatsUITweaks, select a matching full time window; custom partial-range selections are not reproduced. Compatibility with every possible mod combination has not been established.

The release was prepared following user in-game testing. Automated checks cover native statistics calculations, short-window and lifetime totals, sparse factory arrays, machine discovery, renames and refresh behavior.

Installation

Install the ZIP through r2modman, or extract its contents into a single subfolder of BepInEx/plugins. Restart the game. No separate configuration file is required. Remove the mod's own folder to uninstall it.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

0.2.0

  • Anchor the HUD launcher tooltip above and to the left so its full text stays visible near the right screen edge.
  • Tooltip placement confirmed working in game by Loki Moon Labs before release.

0.1.9 - Initial public release

  • Stop replacing the selected-planet footer with scanning progress during periodic scans.
  • Show scanning text in missing-machine rows only until the first scan completes; retain their result during background rescans.
  • Keep the remaining window layout and behavior unchanged.
  • Prepared for publication following user in-game testing.

0.1.8 test build

  • Give each pane and planet/product row stable identities; stop rewriting native scroll offsets every frame.
  • Avoid unchanged transform writes and retain producer instances/tooltips across periodic scans to reduce refresh movement.
  • Use rectangular clipping for pane contents and reset only the product scroll when changing planets.
  • Show the selected planet in the footer and distinguish historical production from unavailable current producer details.
  • Fall back to live recipe outputs when a modded execution array is empty.
  • Verify 1-minute, 10-minute and lifetime readings using the native statistics engine. Preserve true zero output.
  • Replace the existing Desktop ZIP instead of adding a new version-named copy.
  • In-game scrolling and visual confirmation pending.

0.1.7 test build

  • Remove the duplicate Machine Count column; keep each count beside its machine.
  • Reduce window width by 8% and redistribute the right pane into Machine, Product, Recipe and Produced/min (or Total produced).
  • Slightly enlarge right-pane text, machine/product icons and recipe ingredient icons.
  • Add a slim divider and narrow gap between the dark translucent panes.
  • In-game visual confirmation pending.

0.1.6 test build

  • Add matching dark translucent backings behind the left and right content panes, including empty list space.
  • Preserve row colors, dropdowns, typography, outer blur and independent click blocking.
  • In-game visual confirmation pending.

0.1.5 test build

  • Rebuild the three native UIComboBox selectors with contained caption, single arrow, click surface and list layouts.
  • Avoid inherited offsets, extra arrows and external references from cloning a live control.
  • Close the option list after choosing an entry and preserve independent input blocking.
  • Preserve the approved window background, typography, content and navigation.
  • In-game visual confirmation pending.

0.1.4 test build

  • Copy native layered window backing, including RawImage blur/backing and Image borders; avoid inheriting a closed window fade.
  • Read the actual control-panel screen scale and label font size; tighten planet rows and header spacing.
  • Resize copied drop-down captions, backgrounds and arrow placement to their new bounds.
  • Allow title text to render without truncating entire lines.
  • Visual match remains subject to in-game confirmation.

0.1.3 test build

  • Put tooltip help in a dedicated strip below the lists, clear of station action buttons and status text.
  • Replace cycling location, sort and time buttons with cloned native control-panel drop-downs, including Total.
  • Preserve the control panel original background transparency instead of forcing full opacity; keep independent input blocking.
  • In-game visual confirmation pending.

0.1.2 test build
