Build Mode No AutoZoom
A quality-of-life camera mod for Dyson Sphere Program.
Build Mode No AutoZoom prevents the automatic camera zoom, pitch, and distance changes that normally occur when entering or leaving build mode. Manual camera controls continue to work normally.
It can also add a small, permanent increase to the maximum zoom-out distance without changing the current camera distance.
Features
- Prevents automatic camera movement when entering or leaving build mode.
- Preserves manual zoom, rotation, and keyboard camera controls.
- Handles Shift-click entry into build mode.
- Supports normal and planetary camera posers.
- Optionally increases the maximum zoom-out distance.
- Checks required game members at startup and disables only an incompatible feature if a DSP update changes them.
Compatibility
- Dyson Sphere Program 0.10.33.x
- BepInEx 5.x
- HarmonyX
- Unity 2019 Mono runtime
Installation
Install with a Thunderstore-compatible mod manager, or place disableautozoom.dll in:
Dyson Sphere Program/BepInEx/plugins/BuildModeNoAutoZoom/
Configuration
The configuration file is generated after the first launch.
[General]
## Enable the mod.
Enabled = true
## Permanent extra maximum zoom-out distance in metres.
## Set to 0 to disable the zoom extension.
ExtraMaxZoomOut = 2
## How long to preserve the camera pose while Shift-click enters build mode.
ShiftClickPinFrames = 8
Most players should leave ShiftClickPinFrames at its default value. Increase it only if Shift-click build entry still causes a camera movement.
Diagnostics
On startup, the mod writes one compact compatibility summary to the BepInEx log. If a required DSP member is unavailable, the affected behaviour is disabled with one warning instead of repeatedly throwing exceptions during gameplay.
