Notes
- Launch the game through the Crowd Control Desktop App and press START so effects can connect. The mod dials out to the app, so start the app first.
- This mod is not intended for multiplayer co-op streams. Effects target the local player.
- Tested alongside Mod the Gungeon API. If you run into trouble with other mods installed, test with only Crowd Control enabled.
CHANGELOG
2.2.0 Migrated from MelonLoader to BepInEx 5
- The mod now runs on BepInEx 5 and dials out to the Crowd Control app over TCP instead of listening on a websocket. Install the Crowd Control app and press START; no manual connection setup is needed.
- The mod is a port of the MelonLoader build: all 42 original effects keep their codes, durations, and behavior.
- 14 new effects: Upside Down, Zoom Out, Zoom In, Earthquake, Slow Motion, Speed Up, Slow Down, Cursed, Trigger Happy, Give a Random Gun, Ricochet Rounds, Piercing Shots, Glass Cannon, and the Hype Train.
- Effect state is now tracked by an override system. A disconnect mid-effect no longer leaves permanent changes (bullet scale, fire, camera) behind.
- Conflicting effects (same game state) are now held and retried instead of silently overwriting each other.
- Custom effects: drop a prebuilt effect DLL in
%APPDATA%\CrowdControl-Apps\CustomEffects\EnterTheGungeon<pack>
(prebuilt assemblies only; the game runs .NET 3.5, so loose .cs files cannot be compiled here).
