Timbn Chest Labels

Timbn Chest Labels

Name your chests. The name floats over the chest in the same style as grave quality, so you can tell your chests apart at a glance.

How It Works

  1. Walk up to a chest. Next to Open you'll see a second key, Label (the Work key, F by default).
  2. Press it, type a name and pick a color if you like, then press Save.
  3. The name now shows under the keys at that chest whenever you're nearby.
  4. Press Label again to change the name or the color. Save it empty to remove it.

Good To Know

  • The Colors setting adds your own colors to the picker, such as #c77dff, orange.

  • Turn off LabelBelow to show the name above the keys.

  • You can pick a size for each chest in the naming window, and the DefaultSize setting makes every size smaller or bigger, as a percent such as 150% or a font size such as 24.

  • You can color part of a name with a color tag, such as <color=#c77dff>Relics</color>

  • You can put one of the game's icons in a name with a sprite tag, such as <sprite name="gear">Iron

    chest labels

  • Names are saved with your game and come back when you load.

  • Taking a chest apart loses its name. A chest keeps its name when a mod that moves buildings moves it, if that mod supports it.

  • If you uninstall the mod, your chests stay as they are, just without names.

Troubleshooting

If a game update changes something a Timbn mod relies on, that mod stays off instead of running half broken, and BepInEx/LogOutput.log says which part failed. Include the startup line from that log when reporting a problem.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

1.1.1

  • Works on game version 1.011. A chest keeps its name when you move it with the game's own Move button.

1.1.0

  • A chest's name now shows under the Open and Label hints. The new LabelBelow setting turns that off to show it above them.
  • The naming window has a color picker, copied from the character editor. The new Colors setting adds your own colors before the default ones.
  • The naming window has a size for each chest, Small, Default, Large or Extra Large. The new DefaultSize setting sets how big Default is, as a percent of the game's text or as a font size, and the other sizes follow it.
  • A chest keeps its name when a mod that moves buildings moves it, if that mod supports it.
  • The Label hint shows the controller button when you play with a controller.

1.0.0

  • First release. Press Label at a chest to give it a name that floats over it, in the same style as grave quality.
  • Names can hold a color tag or one of the game's icons through a sprite tag.
  • Names are saved with your game, and taking a chest apart loses its name.
