This mod requires the following mods to function
AuriRex-TheArchive_Core
The main Archive mod, adds the ModSettings menu.
Preferred version: 2025.2.2README
Archipelago Core
This is the core plugin for Archipelago. This contains the bulk of the Archipelago logic.
This is separated from Vanilla-specific changes so that rundown developers (and other modders) can implement custom Archipelago changes without fighting the vanilla implementation.
If you are looking to play Archipelago on vanilla GTFO, look for and use the mod titled "Archipelago".
CHANGELOG
Changelog
First Alpha Release
Alpha release of Beta-Archipelago.
- I make no guarantee that anything works correctly
- I make no guarantee that everything will stay the same in coming versions
Version 0.0.2
Second Alpha Release of Beta-Archipelago. With any luck, it works this time
- Fixed numerous issues
- Rewrote the APWorld
- Double-checked that things do, in fact, work before uploading them
Version 0.0.3
Third Alpha Release of Beta-Archipelago.
- Added async login, which will allow non-local hosts (specifically, allows connecting to archipelago.gg)
- Fixed ITEMS subcommand. It is now much more durable and does not give all items instantly
- Fixed main menu; it now shows with entering sub menus
- Probably some other fixes/changes too
Version 0.0.4
Fourth Alpha Release of Beta-Archipelago.
- Began adding official support for Multiplayer
- Multiplayer supports three modes: Parallel play, Multi-connected, and Proxy-connected
- Fixed some sync issues related to (but not part of) multiplayer
- Fixed a major bug where restarting the game could disable item collection from Archipelago
- Improved the gear spawn mechanics (at least slightly)
- Bots no longer reset their gear when returning to the expedition start screen
- Changed the terminal command names to better convey their intended use
CLAIM_ALLhas been removedCLAIMnow acts likeCLAIM_ALLCLAIM_CODEnow actsCLAIMused to actCAis unchanged
- Added "trash" items system, where locations can be marked as trash to ignore them
- You can now use the
AP TRASHcommand to mark all extractable items in a terminal as trash
- You can now use the
- Changed objective item names to no longer include an objective summary (to make the names shorter)
- Add chat settings to help decrease chat message size and quantity
- Add a reset button to the Rundown menu which allows players to disconnect from Archipelago
- Moved pickup logic to synced method to hopefully make it more consistent
Version 0.0.5
Fifth Alpha Release of Beta-Archipelago
- Regions are now tagged and sorted hierachally, granting more control what is randomized
- New options API and system to support the YAML, which adds in more user-friendly confiuration
- Added custom implementations of most Archipelago options (Local items, hints, etc)
- Added progressive expedition ordering, so expeditions can be completed in order
- Internal-only items and locations are now "Event" locations in Archipelago, which should make UT and similar more useful.
- Fixed a lot of bugs (but not all of them)
- Probably some other things. I changed a lot, I did not make many notes.
Version 0.0.6
Sixth Alpha Release of Beta-Archipelago
- Added "Choice" processing, which dramatically improves logic regarding bulkhead keys and cells
- The logic can much more readily predict PE clears and similar; before, it only guaranteed all sectors could be cleared
- Bulkhead keys and cells are no longer "randomlike"
- Generation may slow down significantly, especially when choosing many or large expeditions with many cells
- Fixed DeathLink so it actually works now. Fixed some issues related to DeathLink as well
- Added more queries:
- sec_doors for the various door-related events (On approach, unlock, scan started, scan ended, and opened)
- Reactors for reactor waves and such
- World Event Objects for event scans
- Added world event objects as terminal items which can be pinged and queried
- Only relevant world event objects are added to the terminal system. At this time, these are only ones related to custom scans
- Added the JUMP command to a terminal, which allows you to return to any dimension you have seen since dropping into an expedition
- This was added as the best fix for logic issues, as it ensures you can return to any zone you've already been to
- Progressive expedition unlocks no longer appear in ITEM progression mode
- Universal Tracker now reports locations which can be reached, even if it might require lucky generation
- MID generation is now language-independent (forced to be English where possible, even if GTFO is set to another language)
- This should fix some issues where the game reported itself as being modded when it was not
- Other misc bug fixes
Version 0.1.0
First beta release of Archipelago.
- Split Archipelago into two separate mods: ArchipelagoCore and Archipelago.
- Future changelog items will now only include changes relevant to the specific mod.
- Moved many patches, fixes, and other vanilla-rundown-specific things into the Archipelago mod.
- Addressed bug introduced in 0.0.6 in which most Item and Location options were ignored.
- Improved the DeathLink logic to allow for increased flexibility in customization.
- Addressed many bugs related to DeathLink.
- Fixed issue where loading a checkpoint would overwrite terminal password logs with the password's part
- Added event log to the Rundown menu, which will let users see connections errors without switching to the BepInEx log
- Added the AP PING_PAIR command, which pings a corrupted uplink terminal's pair (so that players can plan around pairings)
- Add the AP UNDO command, which allows players to load custom "checkpoints" which are automatically made before certain actions, such as inserting a key into a bulkhead dc
- Changed the multiplayer connection model to hopefully be more stable. Proxy connect is a little more stable, but still has issues ensuring the player has legal gear equipped when joining a lobby
- Fixed a logic error where survival objectives in secondary/overload were considered reachable without
being able to reach secondary/overload
- https://github.com/RoboRyGuy/Archipelago-GTFO/issues/20
- This fix only affects R6BX, as it's the only expedition with a non-main survival objective
- Fixed the EnergyLink integration, which fixed the Booster purchase/refund system
- Added path ordering, which allows the Archipelago server to dictate the expedition order.
