Competitive Charlie

An independently made competitive character designed to be more fairly balanced while remaining challenging. Your skills will be tested so prepare for the wurst. Charlie has been based in in the vanilla character Tournament Toby with encryption progression being identical and similar enemy progression, with a few tweaks here and there.

Known Bugs

  • The main known bug is that due to weapons spawning with iron sights instead of red dots, occasionally when spawning a weapon that needs this sight it will only spawn the rear sight instead of a full front/rear sight combo. I am currently in the process of fixing this however it is relatively time consuming and tedious so bare with me.

Economy and Balancing

PLEASE NOTE This character is designed to be run with a partial update rollback that reintroduces the re-rolling system for weapons only. This has not been introduced into T&H Framework so you’ll need to play a bit of make-believe in the meantime. Because of this I highly recommend that you try your best to ignore the ability to cycle through your weapon choices and pretend that you can’t do that or that it will require burning a token. Instead of re-rolling you are encouraged to visit different supply points and see what is on offer there. Bare in mind however that every engagement holds the chance of taking damage or even dying, so remember if you see a weapon that you’re not too happy with: “It’s not about what you roll, it’s how you roll with it”

  • This character is primarily designed around spawnlocked mode, however limited ammo has been taken into consideration.
  • This character is also designed to be run on The Institution map where you can have multiple flank routes to disengage from fights as sometimes you will be caught out outgunned and outnumbered.

Firearms

Pistols

  • Removed the MK23 from starting weapon pool and purchase pool Dev Note: Despite the MK23 being my favourite .45 pistol, and overall being fairly well balanced IMO, I can't find a way to prevent it from spawning with its laser/light module. This gives this roll an otherwise unfair advantage over its siblings and forces me to remove it until I can find a better way to handle this case.

SMGs

  • Narrowed the SMG pool to only include "Modern" and "PostWar" guns (excludes WW1 and WW2 SMGs)
  • Narrowed the SMG pool to only include SMGs that do not have a stock mount, eliminating stockless SMGs

Attachments

Iron Sights

  • Iron sights should now only spawn in front sight/rear sight pairs (No more only getting an M16 carry handle)

Lasers

  • Reduced laser cost from 5 tokens to 3
