Nacht der Untoten
THIS IS AN EARLY PROTOTYPE
Welcome to the demo of call of duty zombies inspired mod. It is not only a map, but also a gamemode, in which you'll be fighting to survive through waves of zombies. Features including:
- Custom enemies
- Wave system
- Buying weapons + mystery box
Important:
- Yellow boxes are for interaction
- Remember to spawn lock ammunition
- Each weapon from the wall can be bought once, so spawnlock that ammunition
- Buy k98k for free before starting the round
The gamemode is in an early state. Currently I'm testing what's possible to create in H3VR, for now the map is literally cardboard in the rough shape of the famous bunker.
Be sure to let me know if you think this gamemode has potential or has any bugs. [email protected]
Current issues (I would be grateful if you know how to fix them)
-
(Big one) Enemies have some "depth" problem, their models feel like they are further away from the player that they really are. I have no clue why, but it's something to do with skinned mesh renderer in Unity. Every model has this problem and every one is fixed when changed to normal mesh renderer. Unfortunately you can't animate normal mesh renderers. And it makes aiming for the head quite difficult.

(Big one) There is no difference between ammo types. .50cal round and 9mm deal the same amount of damage, so only magazine size differs for guns. I don't know how to check with what ammo the object has been hit. For now I use targets (like the ones in .45 friendly range) but plastered to the zombies different body parts. Grenades and Panzershrek kinda work, but the damage seems to be low and inconsistent in larger hordes.
-
(Small) Windows block player movement and allow for bullets to pass, but I can't find a way for guns not to be blocked as well. So you cannot stick a gun through the window.
Video coming soon, when I have the time.
Don't be afraid if you think you'll be scared, there is no horror atmosphere yet, just some blocks, placeholder enemies and occasional zombie sounds.
