README

BasicEnemySyncAddonsFix

Unofficial companion for BasicEnemySync. This is a separate BepInEx plugin and requires the original mod. It does not replace EnemySyncing.dll.

It makes the local cocoon appear immediately, repeats cocoon state for other players and late joins, preserves revive protection, and guards against ordinary damage during cocoon state. It also suppresses reappearance of recorded dead enemies and landed rock contact damage.

All players should install the same addon version. Disable the older BasicEnemySyncCocoonsReviveFix package when using this one.

These synchronization fixes need multiplayer testing across scene transitions. See CHANGELOG.md for the exact changes.

This project is unofficial and unaffiliated with the BasicEnemySync authors. Licensed under MIT; the included icon retains its upstream license and attribution in the notice files.

Changelog

1.0.0 - 2026-09-27

  • Rename the separate companion plugin to BasicEnemySyncAddonsFix, with BasicEnemySync as a required dependency.
  • Show the local cocoon immediately and rebroadcast cocoon state so players entering the scene can see it.
  • Prevent repeated cocoon packets from recreating the remote visual and guard cocooned players from ordinary damage.
  • Keep the existing short protection after revival.
  • Stop verified dead enemies from remaining active, reject position updates for recorded deaths, and prevent the original watchdog from reviving them.
  • Rebroadcast recorded enemy deaths for players who join the scene later.
  • Disable contact damage on named falling rocks once they have landed.
