TF2-themed Cards for Act 1 and Kaycee's Mod!

Installation

Same as most other card mods. Unzip the folder, then drop everything in the 'plugins' folder into the 'plugins' folder of your Inscryption directory.

1.5.2 - Back-Before-Valve Update!

  • It has been a long time since the Scrybe of Mercs had graced Leshy's Cabin. Though Leshy had grown accustomed once more to the tranquil nature that allowed him to take his photographs in the peace he had been denied for nearly 2 months last year, he had almost nostalgic longing for the chaos he and his cards had brought. And then he burst through the door once again, and he regretted all of it.
  • So yeah, it's been a long time since I've updated this pack. Missed a lot of updates to the API and stuff. I've been itching to get back to it. Believe it or not, I had a HUGE update planned originally, and I got about 60% of the way through it before I just stopped. But now I've returned! But before finishing that, I decided to first update the existing cards.
  • I have heard that All The Sigils is broken. After updating my BepInEx and API, I have found this to be untrue. Maybe it's because I still have my ATS as 2.5.4? Either way, I've decided to invest in Nevernameds Sigilarium! Any ATS sigils that have exact or close-enough equivalents there have been swapped. Other cards, however, I have changed around because I feel these new sigils suit them better:
  • Demoman, Gibusvision Demoman: Random Strike has been replaced with Unfocused Strike. This allows the Demomen to attack 2 random spaces on the board instead of a single random space twice. This is how I originally intended the cards to function.
  • The Administrator: Replaced Leader and Hoarder sigils with Commander and Call to Arms. This mirrors how I originally wanted this card to function, but couldn't get to work due to ATS sigils that were broken even a year ago.
  • Dispenser: Replaced Medic sigil with Bandage Weaver, allowing the dispenser to heal adjacent cards every turn, similar to how it functions in TF2 proper.
  • Pyro, Gibusvision Pyro, Pybro: All non-aquatic Pyros now have the Fire Resistant sigil! Given how the Ignition and Burning sigils work, it is important that these cards can set enemies on fire without catching some afterburn themselves. Besides, Pyros are immune to burning anyway!
  • Old Nick: Reworked. Now has 1 power instead of 2. Replaced Antler Bearer and Random Strafe with Harts Within and Deus Hoof. This will allow Old Nick to buff Hooved Tribe cards, and to provide you with some if you don't have any on hand.
  • Sledder's Sidekick: Added the Cute sigil. Any creature that would dare hurt a puppy now feels bad and refuses to attack the following turn. They might be beasts, but they're not monsters!
  • Sandman Scout: I never liked how Song of Sleep functioned on this card due to the inherent nature of Scout cards to strafe or otherwise move. So when I saw this card, I felt it matched perfectly with the baseball theming.
  • Demoknight: Replaced Consumer with Vampiric, allowing Demoknight to only gain 1 health per kill instead of 2. A nerf to a card that can very easily snowball.
  • Bird-Man of Aberdeen: Replaced Airborne and Doublestrike with Swooping Strike, which essentially combines both sigils into 1 and keeps with Demoman's idea of hitting 2 different targets when he attacks.
  • Civilian: Replaced Tooth Shard with Valuable. More straightforward, guaranteed 2 foils on death rather than potentially getting 1 or 2 depending on the power of the card hitting him.
  • Sentry Gun (Level 3): Replaced Sentry x2 with Sentriple. Will now Sentry attack up to 3 different cards rather than 1 card twice.
  • If anyone finds any bugs with any of the cards, do not hesitate to contact me over on the Inscryption Modding Discord Server! Or if you don't have any bugs to report, but have an idea for a card or a start deck, reach out for that stuff as well! I'm always open to ideas!

  • Hungry for more TF2 card content? Well luckily for you I was feeling a bit peckish myself, so have a couple of new bread-themed starter decks!

1.5.0 - Leshy's Own Update!

  • So the Scrybe of Beasts was getting annoyed that there were no beasts in this card pack. So he took a trip down to Teufort, New Mexico, and went on a photographic rampage the likes of which has never been seen before! 27 new beast cards have been added to the pack!
  • Leshy's episode also seemed to attract Saxton Hale's former hunting mentor and current rival, Charles Darling, to the forest! Needless to say, neither Leshy nor Saxton are happy about this.
  • Meanwhile, it seems that an unknown Spy has gotten his hands on a Spy-cicle and is going on a rampage against other Spies! The Trapper is currently on his trail trying to stop him, but in the meantime feel free to use the frozen statues he's left behind in his wake!
  • Compatibility with the Side Deck Selector mod has been implemented! Scout's pet squirrel Chucklenuts can now be slaughtered en masse to play your cards! And if you have the Vermin Tribe mod installed, Chucklenuts should benefit from it!
  • Future updates will likely take a bit longer from now on, but in the meantime expect a few smaller updates such as additional starter decks and such.

1.4.0 - The Sideclass Update!

  • The mercs have finally gotten used to Leshy's forest, to the point where they are now employing new tactics and weapons in their fight against the Scrybe of Beasts! 21 new common cards have been added based on different weapons and community sideclasses!
  • In response to the continued domination of their kind, the Gibuses have organized! Three new Gibus Gang starter decks have been added to Kaycee's Mod!
  • Created Act 2 Portraits for all the 9 classes and their Gibusvision counterparts. Some of the Vanilla Class cards are not yet used, but have been made anyway for future convenience.

1.3.0 - The Gibusvision Update!

  • Uh oh, looks like the game's attracting a lot of new players! You know what that means! Yep, the Trader's been mobbed with new mercs she will (try to) sell you, and the woods are now full of inexperienced, inferior versions of all the mercs! But fear not, for they will grow! 9 new fledgling cards have been added to the pack.
  • And it looks like with all these Gibuses going around, it attracted the original Gibus wearer himself, Mann Co. founder Zepheniah Mann! And of course, he's brought his two bumbling sons along as well. And since there's so many children now running around these forests, it seems we've attracted the Spirit of Australian Christmas too! 4 new rare cards have been added to the pack!

1.2.0 - The Sandvich Party Update!

  • Added 4 new Morsel cards, straight from Heavy's fridge! Heavy's also invited 4 new people over to partake in this brutal card game! See card list for details!
  • Added 3 new starter decks.
  • Reduced Medic's attack from 1 to 0. This is to encourage playing Medic as a true support card, and thus be put where he can be kept safe, such as behind a Boulder or Rabbit, or next to a Heavy who will tank the hits for him.
  • Increased cost of Level 3 Sentry to 10 bones. Probably shouldn't be cheaper than a Turkey Vulture for the stats and sigils it has.
  • Reduced Mini-Sentry's attack from 1 to 0. I wanted to keep it as a cheap and re-usable sentry card, but allowing it to deal non-sentry damage on top of all that for only 3 bones is outrageous.
  • Saxton Hale was too strong, to the point where even Leshy was complaining about game balance. Nerfed his attack and health from 10 to 9, increased his cost from 4 blood and 9 bones to 4 blood and 10 bones, and removed the Repulsive Sigil. Probably not a good idea to let that sigil be sacc'd to any card you want...

1.1.0 - The Gib Update!

  • Added Gibs for the other 8 mercenaries and each of the buildings for when they get ahold of Spy's Dead Ringer obtain the Loose Tail Sigil.
  • Fixed a fatal error that prevented the Pyro card from appearing.
