Preferred version: 2.24.1README
Unfair Hand
A new Kaycee's Mod challenge for players who think the opening hand is too generous.
What it does
Adds the Unfair Hand challenge (worth 5 points) to the Kaycee's Mod challenge select screen. When it is active:
- Two squirrels: every battle starts with 2 squirrels instead of 1, plus the usual 3 cards from your deck.
- No fair hand: normally the game rigs your opening hand so you always have something playable. Not anymore. Your 3 deck cards are completely random, so you might open with nothing but squirrels and a hand full of expensive cards.
More squirrels, less mercy. Whether that is a buff or a curse depends on your deck.
Cards a battle forces into your opening hand still appear and count toward the 3 deck cards. Story mode and the other acts are not affected. The challenge only applies to Kaycee's Mod runs where you select it.
Installation
Install with r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. BepInEx and InscryptionAPI are installed automatically as dependencies.
Manual install: install BepInExPack Inscryption and InscryptionAPI, then put UnfairHand.dll in Inscryption/BepInEx/plugins.
Compatibility
Works with other challenges, including Squirrel Fish. Mods that also change the opening hand draw may conflict.
