This mod requires the following mods to function
BepInEx-BepInExPack
BepInEx pack for Mono Unity games. Preconfigured and ready to use.
Preferred version: 5.4.2100BGN-PizzaTowerEscapeMusic
Plays music from Pizza Tower when the early ship leave alert appears
Preferred version: 2.5.0loaforc-FacilityMeltdown
Maybe taking the apparatus out isn't such a great idea...
Preferred version: 2.7.5README
Combined Meltdown Playlist
Randomly plays one of 36 songs when the apparatus is removed and the facility begins melting down. The host selects the song and sends that selection to every client, so everyone hears the same track. Every song appears once in the playlist, giving each track an equal chance to play.
The pack skips PizzaTowerEscapeMusic's eager startup decoding for these 36 files. It opens only the selected OGG as an on-demand stream when the meltdown starts, avoiding the repeated loading stutter caused by decoding the entire playlist.
This is a synchronized music pack for PizzaTowerEscapeMusic and FacilityMeltdown.
During a meltdown it also grants configurable percentage-based stamina capacity and regeneration boosts. These are applied on top of the final stamina changes produced by the game and other mods, including Lategame Upgrades. The package also contains a host-side compatibility failsafe for FacilityMeltdown's automatic departure.
The package includes a configurable meltdown HUD with a reactor countdown, contextual ship or entrance distance, synchronized now-playing information, and a spinning music disc. Every HUD element normally appears red and can pulse yellow to the selected track's BPM.
Installation
Install this package and its dependencies with a compatible Thunderstore mod manager. The following older music packs can then be disabled or uninstalled:
Sondar-LabirhinMeltdownMusicWallet-GracefulMeltdownneRufuss-RUN_FOR_IT_Meltdown_Music
Every player should install the same version of this package. The host is authoritative for the selected track and all stamina/HUD settings. Synced settings apply for the current lobby without overwriting each client's local configuration file. Players without the package will not receive its synchronized selection or configuration.
Required configuration
Open BepInEx/config/bgn.pizzatowerescapemusic.cfg and set:
[Scripting]
Scripts = CombinedMeltdownPlaylist
Open BepInEx/config/me.loaforc.facilitymeltdown.Client.cfg and set:
[Audio]
MusicVolume = 0
Setting FacilityMeltdown's music volume to zero prevents its original music from overlapping the playlist. This setting also mutes FacilityMeltdown's warning voice lines.
After launching the game once, stamina settings are generated in:
BepInEx/config/combinedmeltdownplaylist.sync.cfg
[Meltdown Stamina]
## Percentage of extra effective stamina capacity during a meltdown.
## 20 means 20% more stamina.
ExtraStaminaPercent = 20
## Percentage of extra stamina regeneration during a meltdown.
## 50 means regeneration is 50% faster.
ExtraStaminaRegenPercent = 50
Both values are percentages and can be set to 0 to disable that individual boost. The boosts apply only while a FacilityMeltdown is active and the ship is landed. Ship departure, end-of-round, and meltdown cleanup hooks all disable them as redundant failsafes. The mod does not replace sprintTime or another mod's stored stamina values.
Meltdown HUD
The HUD is shown only while a FacilityMeltdown is active and the ship is landed:
- Outside, the enclosed reactor countdown appears to the right of the vanilla clock and distance points to the ship.
- Inside, the enclosed countdown moves to the top center and distance points to the main entrance.
- While spectating, the countdown moves to the bottom left, the now-playing panel remains visible, and distance is hidden.
- Distance is anchored at the bottom right to avoid the chat panel.
- The now-playing panel appears at right-center with a transparent spinning disc and stationary record-player tonearm.
All 36 included tracks have hard-coded title, confirmed-author, BPM, and beat-offset metadata. Future unknown tracks use a readable filename-derived title, omit the author, and pulse at the fixed fallback interval.
HUD settings are generated in BepInEx/config/combinedmeltdownplaylist.sync.cfg:
[Meltdown HUD - General]
EnableHud = true
HudScale = 1
HudOpacity = 1
BaseColor = #FF2020
FlashColor = #FFD21A
[Meltdown HUD - Elements]
ShowReactorTimer = true
ShowHundredths = true
ShowTimerPanel = true
TimerPanelOpacity = 0.32
ShowDistance = true
ShowSelectedTrack = true
ShowTrackAuthor = true
ShowDisc = true
DistanceUnits = Meters
DistanceDecimals = 0
DiscSpinSpeed = 90
[Meltdown HUD - Flash]
EnableFlashing = true
UseTrackBpm = true
BeatCadence = EveryFourBeats
FixedFlashIntervalSeconds = 4
FlashFadeSeconds = 0.45
DistanceUnits accepts Meters, Feet, or GameUnits. BeatCadence accepts EveryBeat or EveryFourBeats. The fade is automatically shortened when necessary so the HUD returns fully to red before the next pulse.
The [Meltdown HUD - Layout] section provides separate X/Y offsets for the outside timer, inside timer, spectator timer, bottom-right distance display, and right-center track panel.
The host's values in both Meltdown Stamina and every Meltdown HUD section are synchronized to modded clients when they join and whenever the host changes them.
Forced-takeoff compatibility fix
FacilityMeltdown can abort host-side initialization when optional custom-enemy handling throws an exception. This package contains that optional failure so the host's meltdown state can finish initializing. It also arms a host-only departure failsafe near the end of the countdown and retries the intended ship-leave animation if the ship is still landed after FacilityMeltdown's normal departure window.
