LethalPursuer

Host-only troll toolkit for Lethal Company. Become an invisible ghost, haunt your friends with sound and lights, possess the monsters, and direct the chaos — all from the host's seat, in private lobbies.

Everyone in the lobby installs it, but it stays completely silent on non-hosts — no UI, no keybinds, nothing on their screen. Only the host gets the powers. Standalone (no ControlCompany).


What it does

Press F1 to leave your body and become a free-flying, invisible Ghost. From there you have a full toolkit; possess a monster to enter Pursuer mode and drive it yourself.

Ability Key What it does
Toggle Ghost F1 Leave/return to your body. Ghost = invisible no-clip fly-cam with nightvision; your body freezes, invulnerable.
Phantom State F5 Escalates: scrubs you from the ship radar so nobody can tell you're even there.
Sound Emitter Z (hold = radial) Place invisible looping 3D sounds — footsteps / breathing / item ping / door creak. Max 3.
Light Flicker X tap Flickers every facility light off, then organically back over 3s.
Full Blackout X hold 2s Cuts all facility power until someone resets the breaker.
Door Lock C Locks the door you're looking at (≤5m) for 15s.
Fake Radar Blip V Injects a fake player dot into the ship radar. Max 2.
Ghost Voice T (push-to-talk) Speak as a distant, distorted voice near the ghost's position.
Vent Cover N tap Seals the nearest vent (≤4m) so monsters can't emerge.

Ability Key What it does
Possess LMB (in Ghost) Take over the monster under your crosshair (≤40m); its AI stops and you drive it. Movement syncs to everyone for free (enemies are host-authoritative).
Drive WASD + mouse Third-person control of the possessed monster.
Monster Swap F2 Release the monster (reverts to normal AI) and return to Ghost.
AI Puppet hold RMB + click Set a navmesh waypoint; the monster pathfinds there. Esc cancels.
Leash L Click two monsters — the second tails the first at 3m.
Masked Disguise G Cycle a Masked enemy's held-item cosmetic (flashlight / walkie / empty).
Vent Hide N hold (in Pursuer) Duck the monster into a vent; LMB bursts out, hold RMB peeks.

🎭 Troll tools & director

Ability Key What it does
Breaker Remote B Cut main facility power from anywhere. 10s cooldown.
Item Curse I Curse a world item — whoever grabs it gets a loud cue and aggros nearby monsters.
Director Mode F3 Aim + LMB to spawn monsters at a spawn budget; [ ] cycle the type.
Countdown F4 Show an ominous countdown timer on everyone's screen.

A small host-only HUD shows your current mode, Phantom status, and spawn budget.


Install

  1. Install BepInExPack and LethalNetworkAPI (dependencies, auto-installed by the mod manager).
  2. Install LethalPursuer. Every player in the lobby needs it (it's invisible to non-hosts).
  3. Host a lobby, drop in, press F1.

All keybinds and durations live in BepInEx/config/LethalPursuer.cfg.

âš ī¸ Status & honest limitations

This is a 1.0 built and compiled clean against game v81, with the core systems (mode/state, networking, possession, environmental effects) on confirmed vanilla APIs and 25 automated tests passing. It has not yet been fully verified in a live 2-player session — expect some tuning:

  • Needs in-game tuning: Ghost Voice (Dissonance re-routing), Vent Hide (no vanilla re-emerge animation exists), Masked Disguise held-item cosmetic (built from scratch — no vanilla equivalent), Sound Emitter "breathing" clip.
  • Do a 2-player test first: client-side effect rendering (blips, sounds, cues) was fixed to run on non-hosts but should be confirmed live.
  • Known deferred gaps: Phantom doesn't yet scrub the alive/dead player list (radar only); a mid-session late-joiner may not see current ghost/phantom state until re-toggled; ghosting-body invulnerability covers direct damage but not every server-side path.
