Perilous Enterprise
Welcome! Originally put together for my friend group to enjoy some of the best of modding, I've released it here for anyone to enjoy. Fair warning: The modpack takes itself mostly seriously, however some of the scrap and monsters featured could definitely be called a bit silly for normal LC standards. Also in general this modpack tries to not deviate too far from the vanilla and custom moon gameplay intended by its creators. Basically, it's another attempt at a vanilla+ modpack!
Warning
This modpack WILL overwrite configs for the various mods featured. It is recommended to make a new profile before downloading as to not overwrite your own.
Size of Modpack
The modpack is about 2.2 GB big in total.
Contents
-
18(?) new moons.
-
14(?) new interiors.
-
4(?) new entitites.
-
2 new weathers.
-
A complete overhaul of custom moons and their interiors. Most custom moons have a high chance for a unique custom interior for that moon! Vanilla moons enjoy the custom interiors that fit the vanilla feel.
-
Rotation of available moons! Company now issues different moons each quota to maximise scrap collecting.
-
Plenty of new scrap items, some normal scrap and a lot of rare silly scrap with various functions to help or hinder your progress.
-
Curses! Some scrap found will be cursed, with more haunted moons having higher curse chances. These curses makes picking up the scrap come at a price, but will also increase that scraps value.
-
Buy slots reserved for utility items! Up to 4 slots can be bought and any items or scrap with useful uses can be put in these.
-
Rumour has it that apparatus devices can now trigger meltdowns in various facilities. The company will at least pay a lot more for these devices. The value and risk of meltdowns generally increase with the difficulty of the moon...
-
Use Lategame Upgrades to become super scrap collectors! Most upgrades have reduced prices or bigger impact to encourage their use.
-
Buy contracts for a small price to enjoy various missions with significant rewards.
-
New store items! Explore using night vision, buy a diving kit to survive underwater, use a flaregun to signal your location. The company has also expanded the ladder selection significantly.
-
Masks can now be used to hide from some of the entities. Though only one mask will remain safe while doing so...
-
The company has set up a casino for all your recreational needs and a way to risk it all for the quota.
-
Route to a random challenge moon! These will be harder but also have more rewards... Highly recommended for larger than normal crews.
-
Defend yourselves using your own hands! New company training has prepared your basic self-defense however its effectiveness may leave a lot to be desired... By default ready your hands using "J"!
-
Company has issued warning to all employees of various entities able to mimic human noises. Be wary!
-
Find leftovers from your peers in the facilities! Nothing like finding free stuff, even if you may have to expose your eyes to unsightly scenes...
-
Secret moons, interiors and rare scrap. If you like being surprised, then feel free to not inspect this modpacks contents. Hint: Most hidden moons can be discovered using Lategame Upgrades contract feature...
-
Enjoy small various additions and visual changes to classic moons and interiors.
-
Multiple starting suits and even more to buy from the rotating store!
-
Plenty of fixes for vanilla bugs, exploits and glitches. Forgive me, speedrunners!
-
Some buffs and changes to classic store items and tweaking of their prices.
-
Weathers now increase the amount of scrap spawned and their value, with more difficult weathers having higher reward. Consider routing to moons with weather!
-
Buffs to various community-agreed "bad" vanilla moons and some small changes to custom moon prices and spawn weights.
-
Preconfigured skins for the classic LC entities for different moon environments.
-
Press "E" to push your friends! Type "tp" in the terminal to use the teleporter! Press "backspace" to take the easy way out using the new pill in your helmet!
-
Of course, anything you don't enjoy can be disabled! That's the magic of modding! If this mod complains about you disabling any dependancy, don't worry. This "mod" itself is only configs and doesn't actually need any mods to function. It can be disabled or left on and still work.
Special Thanks
- The various mod creators! They are the real heroes of this modpack. I'm just a guy that has sewn them together. Seriously, thank you for the great mods!
- Purple the Proto and his Arduous Hardships modpack for inspiring me to release my own!
- You for playing this modpack! I hope you enjoy!
CHANGELOG
1.0.20
- Updated entity skins
1.0.19
- I have finally officially removed Whitespikes "Sleight_Of_Hand_Piggy_Variety_Patch" since it is causing trouble for at least SCP Dungeon and Piggys Variety Mod. My removal of it from the modpack will however not remove it from your current mod profiles. You're going to have to manually remove the mod yourself.
- Disabled new NaturalSelection enemy web feature. So far this mod is mainly here for the sandworm additions.
1.0.18
Hello! To start with I am now 99% sure that the errors mentioned in 1.0.16 are actually caused by Whitespikes "Sleight_Of_Hand_Piggy_Variety_Patch" and not "Piggys_Variety_Mod" itself like I first thought. So disable that mod instead right now to avoid errors. Updated changelog for 1.0.16 and 1.0.17 with this new info.
- Disabled CursedScraps "Communication" curse as it is not very intuitive or much fun in my opinion.
1.0.17
Issue with "Sleight_Of_Hand_Piggy_Variety_Patch" still persists AFAIK, read the changelog for 1.0.16 to get more details.
- Enabled Gray Apartments interior variations based on the moon.
- Disabled ImmersiveVisors physical rim. Honestly this is just to "fix" a third person issue with the mod BadAssCompany that my friend group plays with. Feel free to reenable it.
- Enabled Chameleons FogReprojection.
1.0.16
Hello again! Time to once again look over and make sure this modpack still works lol.
- Big thing to start with: "Sleight_Of_Hand_Piggy_Variety_Patch" is currently erroring and causing problems for at least SCP Dungeon and Piggys Variety Mod. I recommend to disable that mod for now to make the rest work again. I will still leave the mod in the modpack for the day this issue hopefully gets fixed but yeah, that's a bit of a problem.
- Disabled new Generic_GMD interior "Tower" because I personally think it is too similar to the mod makers other interior "Storehouse" and also inferior. Might make a return some day.
- Updated LethalLevelLoader interior spawn rates with new LC Office. (Spawn rates are now once again correct for the modpack.)
- Minor update to Enemy Skin config.
- Revamped new Mirage item config.
- Minor spelling fix to CursedScraps exclusion list (blacklist).
1.0.15
- Turned off ButteryFixes new Giant changes to stop unintended effects while using FairGiants.
- New update for Random_Moons necessated a config update.
1.0.14
- Please welcome the newest OneShotMoons moon! Now fully integrated into the modpack.
1.0.13
- Added TooManySuits by Verity
- Made all gradient suits available for purchase
- Turned off polaroid configs own spawning method. Seems to be a source of desync between host and other players and Remnants already handle spawning store items.
- Updated entity skins
- Switched out Time monitor for a custom text
- Slightly increased amount of store decorations in rotation (max items in rotation 10->12)
1.0.12
- Tweaked Temper interior enemy spawn weights
- Buffed Temper scrap spawn by an average of 1 more scrap. (Actually wanted to buff more because RubberRooms is a bit of a tricky interior to navigate but I've tempered my knee-jerk reaction for now.)
- Reduced Temper indoor max power (17->14)
- Tweaked Enemy skin config for Temper
- Reduced Dine indoor max power (14->12)
- Increased LethalSnap picture value for undefined monsters (2->10)
- Updated readme and added new section on how you should update all included mods after downloading the modpack
1.0.11
- Added MaskFixes by ButteryStancakes
- Added new Cobalt Apparatus from StarlancerWarehouse to CursedScraps blacklist (all apparatuses should be blacklisted in this modpack)
1.0.10
- Lowered cost of new LethalPhones switchboard (500->240). Great mod this is! Love the new additions!
1.0.9
- Added custom moon weights for chameleon new mansion windows system
- Updated readme with new line about LethalPhones and OpenBodyCams
1.0.8
- Added new Wesley interiors Rubber Rooms, Atlantean Citadel, Art Gallery to specific moons
- Made Bodycam an upgrade you can buy for 75
- Added LethalPhones by Scoops as an upgrade you can buy for 200
- Adjusted probability of Meltdown for Temper, significantly lowered as it is now home to Rubber Rooms
- Increased curse item chance for Temper (10%->14%)
- Disabled One For All curse for now
1.0.7
- I didn't realise the Wesley interior Rubber Rooms got a complete makeover so I had to fix the spawn weights for it.
- Nerfed Cambrian Apparatus value. Was too good compared to the risk before.
- On another note, I've come to a conclusion. I probably will not be incorporating Wesleys Moons because the mods new focus on roguelike discovery and sheer amount of moons goes beyond the scope of this modpack.
1.0.6
- Huge and I mean HUGE Wesleys Moons and interiors update. Gonna disable new interiors for now but will definetly look them over more one day and rewamp moon interiors. Maybe all of Magic Wesley's Moons will join the modpack? We'll see, especially when I'm unsure if it will play nice with Selenes Choice...
1.0.5
- Added LethalSnap by SweetOnion. Rebalanced picture values and made them a lot less valuable. Go for group pictures to make them worth it! Outdoor entities except for leviathans, manticoils, tulip snakes, and special entities with guaranteed spawns give almost no value to discourage camping on top of ship for night entities. You want a picture, you're gonna have to risk your life. Indoor entities in general give more value. Bracken gives the most value since it is probably the hardest thing to photograph. Anyways will have to monitor if the polaroid is too strong. Further rebalance may be needed.
- Added polaroid and pictures to reserved utility slots and polaroid to fusion matter level 2 LGU upgrade.
- Keys now always have the same colour when scanned like vanilla.
1.0.4
- New Gradient Suits update added Ultra Gradient suit. Disabled it for now as it is quite similar to blue suit but may make a return one day if I overhaul the starting and buyable suits again.
- Added two new mods: ScannableTools by TestAccount666 and LandFromOrbit by mattymatty
- Fixed spelling error in changelog 1.0.3 update lul
1.0.3
- New Lategame Upgrades update (3.11.1) necessitated a whole reformat of the config file. Also discombobulator is seemingly bugged, much longer stun duration than before. So another update adressing this may be needed after LGU updates.
1.0.2
- Updated readme and added section on how big the modpack is
- Disabled Loadstones local performance reports feature which I had forgotten to turn off
1.0.1
- I forgot to include the skinregistry config. Oops. Well it's fixed now.
- Lowered chance for fog after rainy a little bit. (100 weight -> 80 weight)
1.0.0
