Masked Apocalypse!
This modpack is made to challenge you with a zombie apocalypse-like scenario, but with pretty much Lethal Company's version of zombies; Masked. Only the host should need this modpack in order for it to function correctly. This also means this modpack does NOT add any custom moons, or enemies. This just does wacky things with the already existing Masked enemies.
Some features of the modpack listed here:
Entries listed here are only guaranteed accurate information if the modpack is as intended and not modified.
- Buying shovels is HIGHLY recommended. If you cannot afford shovels, shop tools can spawn inside the interiors now just like scrap.
- For every moon except Experimentation, the rarity for the Masked has been set to take a whopping 50% of spawn chances. On Experimentation it is 40% instead to make it easier.
- Every in-game hour, there is a 1/3 chance that up to 26 Masked will spawn.
- Days are slightly longer so you have time to kill Masked and collect the spoils of battle.
- Masked can drop their masks and sometimes shotgun shells. Clients may see dropped mask value as 0, masks dropped from Masked are always 8 credits.
- Dead bodies of entities may vanish after 1 minute, this is done to increase performance.
- People can join in orbit in-between rounds.
- You can buy multiple cruisers, that way you can run over Masked with multiple trucks, not just one!
Entries that contain spoilers for surprises.
- There may be a veeeery slight case of being ambushed by a gang of Masked as soon as you land. This is why having shovels is almost necessary.
- Unlike the vanilla game, if you wear a mask at the company building (71-Gordion) you become converted to a Masked on death rather than simply only dying.
- Enemies can activate landmines, making things somewhat fairer.
- One more... concerning feature... I'm not gonna tell you though.
Thank you for reading this, hopefully this is a lot of fun!
CHANGELOG
2.0.0
If you are on older versions of this modpack, either delete all the mods, or just delete Savage Company before playing with the newest version, Savage Company is now basically dead weight as far as I can tell.
Unfortunately, my trusty mod that has lasted me about 16 or 15 updates of the game (before I ever tried uploading anything to Thunderstore) has finally failed me. A replacement was in order. And now it is here, an entire overhaul of how the modpack works using completely different mods as core components, being LethalQuantities by BananaPuncher714 and OnlyMaskedPlayerEnemies by Zehs. Here's all the changes:
Changes, may include spoilers!
- The "Masked Apocalypse" aspect now actually works, finally.
- The entirety of Savage Company acting as a core component of the modpack was gutted and scrapped.
- Using Lethal Quantities, Masked spawn chances for nearly all moons have been increased to a whopping 50% chance of the spawn rarity tables.
- README file was also heavily changed to maintain accuracy, reflecting changes in the modpack itself.
- Added Only Masked Player Enemies by Zehs, allowing possible hourly spawns of Masked.
- Lethal Quantities somehow naturally counteracts Only Masked Player Enemies behavior of disabling every other enemy in the game? Not sure how... Either that or that specific function of the mod doesn't work. But this is actually a good thing to prevent boredom. You'll still see Masked very, very often due to hourly spawning though. That way, it will stay like a Masked Apocalypse.
- Every hour, there is a 1 in 3 chance for 26 Masked to spawn now.
- A typo was fixed in the description.
- Okay, I SWEAR this is the update! If it isn't, I will consider permanently deprecating, just no more accidental misleading. My bad again. That's all, enjoy!
- Oh yeah, also you might get ambushed as soon as you land.
1.9.1
Fixes an issue with the Masked wave not spawning (hopefully), and some other just convenient changes.
Changes, may include spoilers!
- Modified modpack short description, now having a prefix making it obvious this is for Version 73.
- Updated manifest file to include one more mod, LethalQuantities.
- Changed beginning difficulty to 0.03, rather than 0
- Changed difficulty scaling to 0.01, rather than 0
- Changed maximum possible points to 2500, rather than 2100, meaning now a maximum of 80 Masked in one wave can spawn, rather than a maximum of 64.
- Sorry, hopefully this fixes the issue!
1.9.0
Already worked just fine on V73, other changes have been made, however. Also first update to this modpack in 2026, so happy late new year!
Changes
- Updated message that appears when clients join a host with this modpack on.
- Completely rewrote README file, hopefully it makes things clearer now.
- Removed mods I deemed redundant.
- That's it, enjoy!
1.8.2
Small patch to manifest for most recent versions of mods, should also work with Version 70.
Also gave the icon a much needed improvement, I put quite a bit more effort, time, and thought into it this time.
1.8.1
Small patch to manifest and also to icon to make it easier to see.
1.8.0
Release on thunderstore, although not exactly the 'first' version because it was privately shared between me & friends before.
