README

remove_annoying_sounds

currently this mod disables all sounds included, if you want a sound back youll need to disable the respective config setting
once the mod is out of testing all of the sounds will be enabled by default, meaning that if you install this and dont configure it, it will be identical to vanilla. you will have to pick and choose which sounds you want disabled

compatability with other soundapi mods is unknown right now. i have no idea how it handles conflicting sound replacements

if you are having issues, please trying deleting the config file and the starting the game again to make a fresh one!

  • old bird hostile noises
    the baby crying and annoying ass music
  • old bird alarm
    the constant alarm that plays when its trying to kill, not nearly as annoying as the baby, but option is here
  • tulip snake idle noises
    you can still hear it jump at you and flapping its wings, but the idle noises when its on your head will be gone
scrap
  • tinnitus
    the ear ringing sound that plays whenever you fire the shotgun, get flashbanged, or are too close to an explosion
  • apparatus hum
    the constant hum the apparatus plays. especially annoying when the game bugs and it happens constantly in ship
  • airhorn
  • clown horn
  • robot toy
    the sound the robot toy makes when holding.
    dogs can still hear the noise regardless of this being enabled, you can tell if its making noise by it raising its arms
ship
  • ambient ship squeaks
    including that awful one that plays every 5 seconds in orbit. but also the more subtle ones when your on a planet
  • all ship intercom messages
ui
  • the headache inducing main menu music
  • player scan sound
    you can still hear the scrap value counter hud element when scanning scrap
fun
  • bracken neck snap
    the bracken can take your friends without you hearing a thing
  • jesters music
    the crank is still audible if your close enough
  • mask item equip
    the laughing sound that plays when the mask attached to your face
    reminder that this mod is only client side, so if you have this enabled and your friends dont, they can still hear the mask being put on

currently planned sounds to change if possible

  • (scrap) revert bell sound
  • (ui) meteor hud alert
  • more if i think of any :P

thing(s) i probably wont add (er.. i guess.. remove?)

  • lowering the volume/removal of the tv, boombox, cruiser radio. these sounds are also important to know if they are constantly playing for dog purposes. try these mods instead
