README

Fortnitification Scanner

Sorts every scrap item by its average value and puts it into 5 rarities.

How it works

This mod reads the lowest and highest value each scrap item can roll, finds the average, then sorts every scrap item from lowest to highest. This is not the value you see in-game when scanning a scrap item, but the values represented in the item properties of each item.

The rarity percentages decide how much of that sorted list goes into each rarity. The default, the setup is:

Rarity Colour Default amount
Common Grey 39%
Uncommon Green 28%
Rare Blue 16%
Exceptional Purple 11%
Legendary Yellow 6%

For example, this is what 20 very real items would look like with the default percentages:

Item Mean value Rarity
Big Spork 8 Common
Mug 11 Common
Beer Jug 14 Common
Spring 17 Common
Dead Goldfish 20 Common
False Gold 23 Common
Plate 26 Common
Rubber Duck 29 Common
Desk Bell 33 Uncommon
Coffee Tin 37 Uncommon
Plastic Fish 41 Uncommon
Wheel 45 Uncommon
Egg Beater 49 Uncommon
Remote 53 Uncommon
Toy Robot 58 Rare
Stop Sign 64 Rare
Tea Kettle 70 Rare
Fancy Lamp 79 Exceptional
Cash Register 91 Exceptional
Gold Bar 120 Legendary

Config

Rarity groups

The percentage for every rarity can be changed. Each rarity can also be renamed.

Item overrides

An items rarity can be overridden using this section of the config, using DawnLib's namespaced keys, e.g:

Exceptional items = lethal_company:apparatus, lethal_company:gold_bar

Apparatus, Bee Hives and Kitchen Knives are Exceptional by default.

Overrides happen before automatic sorting and are removed from the sorted list.

Scan nodes

Override Existing Dawn Scan Node Colours is false by default. Items that already use DawnLib scan node colours keep their colours and text.

Set it to true if Fortnitification Scanner should replace them.
