Kenji's Moons is a moon pack that has all my past, present and future moons bundled. In the future progression may be added so stay tuned!

This pack contain a total of 13 moons as or right now, all of them available from the start with different levels of difficulty and environments.

Please make sure that you don't have "Kenjis Moons Taldor Saga" nor any of the standalone moons when you download this pack!

"Greed drives us crazy, makes us gamble with things bigger than what we bargain for, pushing to the stars and beyond. And when playing god isn't enough it makes us wonder... where's the limit?"

476-Taldor is a lush and humid exoplanet with vast lakes were territorial creatures lurk, a vanilla flavoured planet that used to be the base of operations for Taldor Industries, now just a few cities remain where the long lost relatives of former workers still live. Even with the facilities no longer working, the rogue security robots and local fauna may kill your quota short. Taldor is a 0 cost moon that aims to be a mid-tier moon.

Warning

This moon has a gimmick that may break some functionalities in custom interiors. Since I am not able to test every single one of them, if you notice gamebreaking behaviour in a certain interior please let me know (It shouldn't be common). You can disable this gimmick in the configuration.

For now the interior that has it's main gameplay feature broken is LC_Office. (You may want to blacklist this interior for this moon if playing with the gimmick activated)

Moon details POPULATION: Minimal, in major cities.

CONDITIONS: Abandoned industrial complex, weathered by time.

FAUNA: Very humid ecosystem that encourages territorial behaviour from some aggressive lifeforms.

HISTORY: This exoplanet was colonized and later used as the base of opperations for Taldor Industries, now just a few cities remain with the long lost relatives of former workers. What was done in this facility is unknown for the moment.

"I can't believe it... signals... from... Wait, that's impossible... No one has talked about that place in centuries..."

84-Ascension is a cold, mountainous and dangerous moon that, despite those conditions, grew to be one of the most populated in the system so far. Be careful, the creatures tend to go out at night.
Ascension is a 600 cost moon that aims to be a A+ tier moon.

Moon details POPULATION: Abundant.

CONDITIONS: Cold and dry. Heavily mountainous area.

FAUNA: Dangerous lifeforms take refuge on top of the mountain ranges.

HISTORY: Despite the cold weather and dangerous mountainous areas, this exoplanet grew to be one of the most populated in the system so far. Since it's rich with rare minerals and fossils, numerous research facilities were built on top of the mountain ranges to study them. Most are abandoned by now.

13-Dejection is a lush and foggy forest moon that once had highly populated cities, now it's nothing more than abandoned buildings and streets. The roads seem to be the safest path. Dejection is a 300 cost moon that aims to be an A- tier moon.

Moon details POPULATION: None.
CONDITIONS: Deserted. Some buildings are still in one piece.
FAUNA: Abundant, dangerous at night.
HISTORY: What once was a rich urban exoplanet, now it's not more than abandoned buildings and streets. The main reason for this being it's strategic position and growing tensions around it, the exoplanet was tagged as "Neutral Zone" and to avoid risks everyone was evacuated out of it. Most of the people living here were relocated to 84-Ascension.

01-Lua is a familiar celestial body, turned into the headquarters of the infamous Taldor Industries. One can only imagine what they were doing there.

Lua is a 1200 cost moon that aims to be an S++ tier moon.

Recommendation

I highly recommend you to play this moon as part of "The Taldor Saga" first, or at the very least without looking at any pictures of it beforehand.

30-Row is a dangerous mesa moon that holds a big challenge for the scavengers that dare to come in. Careful, the security system is on.

Row is a 1500 cost moon that aims to be a S++ tier moon.

Note:

POPULATION: Minimal.

CONDITIONS: Industrialized moon, a lot of seemingly abandoned military outposts are still operative.

FAUNA: Aggressive fauna seem to thrive in this harsh environment.

HISTORY: Row was one of the most militarized moons in the system, it is said that it was home to the most advanced military-research facilities. Little to no information exists about what they were developing, but the facilities started to be evacuated because of one of the experiment's containment breach. Some people claim that the accident happened trying to send those experiments to "Asteroid-13"

42-Kiri is a foggy Japanese moon where staying together is key to not get lost. The fog engulfs, what the eye can't see doesn't exist.

Kiri is a free moon that aims to be a B tier moon.

Moon details
POPULATION: Some lights can be seen in the distance.

CONDITIONS: Something doesn't feel right.

FAUNA: You can certainly feel the presence of creatures lurking in the fog.

HISTORY:

To be brought to this world, born in shackles she must be.

The commandments of the olden days are harder than stone.

Seized by hands at youth, firmly clasped the girl's hands are.

Shrouded by the caliginous night, what path is for her to take?

113-Kiln is a vertical volcano moon set on an abandoned geothermal powerplant. Beware of the hot steam, the pipes are old.

Kiln is a 500 cost moon that aims to be a A tier moon.

POPULATION: None reported.

CONDITIONS: Overbearingly hot surface

FAUNA: Some creatures have adapted to the harsh environment, but they're mainly inside facilities.

HISTORY: House to many now abandoned geotermal powerplants, this small volcanic moon was the source of rich minerals and the provider of energy for nearby planets and space stations. However, the heavy industrialisation of the moon made it unstable, and all operations stopped after a massive eruption launched a volcanic rock to the planet this moon orbited, 164-Clough, causing massive destruction.

164-Hollowed is a desolated exoplanet set on the aftermath of an extinction event. The ground is hollow and brittle.

Hollowed is a 350 cost moon that aims to be a B+ tier moon.

Moon details
POPULATION: None.

CONDITIONS: Desolated, massive chasms on the ground several kilometres deep made this exoplanet very difficult to traverse.

FAUNA: Several territorial creatures lurk in search for the little food left around.

HISTORY: Hollowed was once a heavily industrialised exoplanet with big cities, using the geothermal power of it's orbiting moon, 113-Kiln, made this place the powerplace of the system. Everything came to an end when the stress inflicted to Kiln resulted in a catastrophic eruption that launched a massive volcanic rock to Hallowed, causing an extinction event and forever damaging the planets surface.

25-Manuland is a dangerous amusement park that holds tons of manules and goodies for the visitors that want to look at these stupids. It contains a couple of custom scraps, one of them has 9 variants! Will you collect them all?

Manuland is a 670 cost moon that aims to be a S tier moon.

Moon details
POPULATION: 750k

CONDITIONS: Slightly cold.

FAUNA: Mainly pallas cats, and some other aggressive creatures.

HISTORY: Manuland was once a must stop if you were a fan of pallas cats, the people in charge of it wanted to make an enclosure that was fun for everyone, pallas cats and people. That did work out as planned when several people were injured trying to pet the manuls. Now deprecated, pallas cats live happily in a manul-only amusement park island.

74-Allure is a coastal forest moon with a lighthouse where your actions may have consequences. Stay in the light, where the darkness can't find you.

Allure is a 375 moon that aims to be a A- tier moon.

Moon details
POPULATION: Well populated.

CONDITIONS: A coastal forest moon, It's lighthouse is said to be cursed.

FAUNA: The edges of the forest become a hunting ground for wild creatures at night.

HISTORY: For quite some time Allure was an emblematic location for people trying to find peace on the system, but as records show, people has started to believe that the moon was cursed by an entity lurking in the fog. Other similar estatements have been said for 42-Kiri and 88-Wring.

154-Thrive is a humid, forest moon whose flora overtook everything and everyone. Dangerous and territorial creatures made of these woods their home. Thrive is a 800 cost moon that aims to be a S+ tier moon.

Moon details POPULATION: Bloomed.

CONDITIONS: Damp and humid. The air feels thick, full of spores of the ever growing flora.

FAUNA: Varied, the richness of the land makes it perfect for creatures to ploriferate.

HISTORY: Thrive was once a profitable moon, thanks to it's rich soil it had the perfect conditions to hold vast food-producing enterprises. The record says that a foreign plant was brought to this moon without proper security meassures, resulting in an uncontrolled groths of these parasitic plants. As of right now, it is not recommended to land here without proper equipment.

37-Alacrity is a cold ice moon, a challenging endeavour for some rewarding loot. Beware of the time. Alacrity is a 800 cost moon that aims to be a S+ tier moon.

Moon details POPULATION: None.

CONDITIONS: Cold and frozen solid.

FAUNA: Only a handful of creatures can survive the harsh weather.

HISTORY: A really small and completely frozen in ice celestial body, not much is known about Alacrity, other than that it is Ascension's moon. The low temperatures makes it a harsh environment for any creature to proliferate.

OTHER: The orbit of this moon is faster than the average, be aware of the time.

I'm going to take a second here to say thank you to all of you, this past year has been a blast learning and exploring and sharing new worlds with you all. I have made some lovely new friends and learned a lot along the way. One of the biggest complains that people had, and I did too because i didn't meassure well enough, was how big and EVIL the moon was, so I took some time to re-think the gameplay loop without touching too much of the terrain. It's still a bit evil and worthy challenge, but a bit less... whatever it was. I hope you like it!

  • Now features: Flooded that changes the gameplay loop in a way that makes sense for this moon.
  • Revamped the layout for a smoother gameplay experience.
  • Reworked how the midday event works.
  • Made several changes on how the mortar works, now it should feel a bit less oppresive.
  • Moved main closer to the ship.

I was really scared of doing this since some people has grown fond of Taldor as it was, but I think now, after a year of learning, it was the perfect time to do it. I tried to convey the feeling and concept of the Taldor we all know and love into this update. I hope you all like this new version of my very first moon and that it grows on you like the old version did. But worry not, the old version is not dead, it will live on in the Taldor Saga pack and as a standalone release.

Subsidence (Legacy Taldor)

  • Fixed and re-worded the screen text next to the main entrance.
  • Added a tiny fancy light on that terminal.
  • Added custom sand footsteps.
  • Changed skybox.
  • Fixed the sun changing to a blue color when stormy.

  • Replaced CustomStoryLogs with LLL's logs to future proof it. (This means any logs gathered in the middle of a save will be reset, sorry)
  • Tweaked the content and writting in some of the logs.
  • Taldor was change into Subsidence to ensure the legacy experience of the pack.
  • The "Taldor Suit" was removed from the pack, as it will feature in a separate optional suits/cosmetics pack.
  • Added a "Taldor Saga" config (on by default in the "Taldor Saga" moonpack) to deactivate all of the legacy story related content.

Note: This config's purpose is mainly for me to have more control over the content in the main pack without compromising this pack, if you're playing the Taldor Saga I suggest to not deactivate it.
