Platform Zero — Last Service
Experimental alpha · 0.1.0 · All players required
An abandoned Company transit station still running a service cancelled in 1977. The departure board promises to take you home. It does not specify whose home.
This build compiles, but has not been playtested inside Lethal Company, solo or multiplayer. Visuals, navigation, exits and multiplayer integration remain unverified. Start with a separate test profile and a fresh save.
What is inside?
- A long, abandoned concourse and six rooms: left luggage, signal control, lost property, staff canteen, dead letter office and waiting room.
- Counterfeit fire exits and suspicious service doors. Two dangerous doors are selected from the daily map seed; the others only knock back.
- The Conductor, a scripted apparition that emerges from a wrong door and sends nearby victims to a red waiting room. A return bell and timed return are included.
- A spectral train that passes through the concourse and temporary nine-second lighting failures.
- Three abandoned tickets to punch, a hidden message and unsettling employee notices.
Playing
- Install using Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman. BepInEx is the only declared mod dependency.
- Install the same version on every player, including the host. Unmodded clients and late-join mods are unsupported; this alpha does not enforce matching versions.
- Land on Experimentation. Platform Zero replaces its playable interior every visit. Other vanilla moons are unchanged.
- Use the game's normal interaction binding. Genuine exits say SURFACE and VERIFIED COMPANY SEAL.
For manual installation, install BepInExPack 5.4.2100, then merge this archive's BepInEx folder into your game or mod-profile folder. The plugin belongs at BepInEx/plugins/PlatformZero/PlatformZero.dll.
Remove or disable Platform Zero to uninstall. The mod does not store persistent save data.
Alpha scope and compatibility
- This is a runtime interior replacement, not a LethalLevelLoader dungeon asset. LethalLevelLoader is not required.
- The architecture is fixed; trap assignments and event timing vary. The original dungeon still generates in the background, with entrance arrival points and scrap/indoor enemy spawn nodes redirected into the station.
- The Conductor is an encounter apparition, not a roaming enemy AI. Ordinary indoor enemies supply the roaming threats.
- Original map hazards are suppressed on station days. Apparatus, breaker boxes and original dungeon story logs are not relocated. No custom sellable scrap is included.
- Other interior replacers, custom dungeon selections, culling mods and enemy overhauls are untested. Use a minimal profile initially.
- If station generation fails on any player, end the test round. That player may fall back to the vanilla interior while other players see the station. Preserve everyone's BepInEx logs for diagnosis.
The DLL was compiled against the creator's installed game assemblies. Protocol serialization checks passed; these are not a substitute for gameplay testing. Full validation details are included in VALIDATION.md.
