Custom Character Translation Fix
The problem
Custom characters load, but their names, descriptions, weapons and passives show
No translation found for '…' in Main Menu instead of the real text. This often
happens on PCs whose Windows system language isn't English.
The fix
This plugin targets custom-character mods that load characters from .custom.json
files. It reads the names and descriptions from those files and writes them into the
game's text tables for every language, so the text shows up without changing your
Windows language settings.
Install
Drop TranslationFix.dll into BepInEx/plugins. No configuration is needed.
Notes
- The custom text is shown as written in the character files (usually English), whatever language the game is set to.
- Skin names are not covered yet. If you see a missing-text error on a skin, open an issue with your
BepInEx/LogOutput.log. - Check
BepInEx/LogOutput.logforFilled N missing entriesto confirm it is working.
Credits
Thanks to phantomgear70 on Nexus Mods, who first worked out that the problem was tied to the system language.
