SwiftScribe
Runes at the speed of thought. SwiftScribe removes rune cooldowns entirely and speeds up the rune-writing animation, so chaining Dez, Egoth, Fal, and Shim into combined spells flows as fast as you can press the keys.
Surgical by design: only the four runes are affected — every other skill in the game keeps its vanilla cast time and cooldown. Runes are detected by their cast animation type, so both regular and Internal Lexicon casts benefit identically.
What it does
- No rune cooldowns. The brown countdown circle on Dez/Egoth/Fal/Shim is gone (configurable back to partial or full if you want some rhythm preserved).
- Faster rune writing. The cast animation runs at 2× by default — visibly still a spellcasting gesture, but snappy. Fully configurable from vanilla (1) up to instant-flick (30).
- Interrupts behave normally: getting staggered mid-write cancels the cast and restores everything cleanly.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/com.spencer4792.swiftscribe.cfg (created on first launch):
- SpeedMultiplier — animation speed while writing a rune.
1= vanilla look,2= snappy but natural (default),30= instant flick. - CooldownMultiplier — rune cooldown scale.
0= no cooldown (default),0.5= half,1= vanilla. - LocalPlayersOnly — only accelerate local player characters (default true).
Notes
- Combined spells form normally at any speed — the effect and completion events still fire in their proper order; they're accelerated, not skipped.
- Solo-focused; untested in co-op.
- No SideLoader dependency.
Changelog
1.0.0
- Initial release: rune cooldown removal + configurable cast animation speed, WriteRune-filtered so only the four runes are affected.
