Summit Watch
Catch cheaters and soundboard spammers in your PEAK lobby, and stop them from ruining your run. Summit Watch watches every other scout and shows how likely each one is to be griefing, like an AI-text detector for gameplay. It says CONFIRMED only when it has proof of a cheat menu.
Only you need it installed. It works as host or client, in any lobby. Hosting with it unlocks roles, kicking and lobby-wide cleanup.
Quick start
Press Ctrl+0 to cycle:
- Mini overlay: every scout's name and % in a corner while you keep playing (no cursor, no buttons).
- Full panel: %, band (Clean, Watch, Likely, Very likely, CONFIRMED), reasons and buttons.
- Off.
Click a name in the panel to open that player's profile.
What it catches
| Signal | Example |
|---|---|
| Puppeteering (proof) | Someone kills, knocks out, teleports, petrifies or sticks a scout they don't control |
| Forced mute / forced run end (proof) | Commands the game never sends: muting a player for everyone, or ending the run (which deletes the save) |
| Impossible item (proof) | Their own game creating, right in front of them or into their hands, an item that never appears naturally |
| Kick without being host (proof) | A non-host trying to kick someone |
| Ignored a kick (proof) | Staying in the lobby after the host kicked them (a cheat menu blocks the kick) |
| Impossible push | A shove, kick or knockdown far stronger or longer than anything in the game, or a kick from across the map |
| Fling | A body jittering back and forth tens of metres every update, launching anyone it touches |
| Force spam | Repeatedly shoving another scout |
| Self-warp | Teleporting with no warp item |
| Item from nothing / out-of-biome item | Spawned items, or items from a later biome appearing fresh where you are |
| Spawn request to host | (When you host) a player asking the game to create items in their hands with no reason |
| Item flood | One source dumping a pile of items |
| Flight / noclip / teleport / speed / super jump | Hovering, moving through rock, jumping across the map, super speed, impossible jumps |
| Walking on air | Walking or standing idle in mid-air: a fly cheat faking "on the ground" (checked against the map, not their word) |
| Defying gravity | In the falling animation but hovering, rising or sinking at a steady speed instead of falling (judged from where they actually are) |
| Endless stamina / no hunger / impossible landing | Stamina that never drops, hunger that never rises, huge falls without injury |
| Replayed clip | Playing the exact same sound clip again (soundboards), even at a different volume |
| Earrape / not speech / nonstop audio | Clipping-loud audio, music or effects with no speech rhythm, a mic that never pauses |
| Timer change without being host | A non-host changing the run timer |
| Immune to cold/heat (off by default) | Cold or heat staying at zero while scouts right next to them freeze or overheat |
Evidence fades over a few minutes, so one weird moment won't brand anyone. Without proof, one kind of evidence can't push anyone past Watch: Likely takes two independent signals. Victims who are flung or teleported by someone else aren't blamed, lag is taken into account, and vanilla launches (cannons, bounce mushrooms, balloons, parachutes, tornadoes) don't count.
Protection for your scout
Your game decides what happens to your scout, so Summit Watch can refuse cheats aimed at you ([Shield]). Playing
with other mods that move you or spawn things? Click Mod-friendly in the panel: Summit Watch stops touching your
own game (no shield, anti-fling, lag guard or hiding) but keeps watching, scoring and, as host, protecting the lobby.
- Self-shield: kill, knock-out, teleport, petrify and stick commands from other players' games are refused (only you and the host send those in the real game), as are fake revives that teleport you, the never-sent mute and run-end commands, bursts of shoves, and any single push thousands of times stronger than the game's (the usual "fling player" button). Other players' games are then told you're fine.
- Kick guard: a "super kick" (too strong, too long a knockdown, or from too far away) is refused.
- Anti-fling: a body moving impossibly fast next to you is blocked before it touches you, an impossible push that still lands is undone on the spot, and a flinging player's body can't touch yours for 30 s.
- Rescue: if you're flung anyway, or a cheat flies you around or drags you through rock right after another player did something to you, you're teleported back to the last place you were standing stably. Flying with your own mod never triggers it.
Floods, cleanup and lag
- Flood guard: when someone dumps a pile of spawned items (say 100 mandrakes), Summit Watch removes it before the lobby crashes: deleted for everyone when you host, switched off on your screen otherwise.
- Spawn cleanup: items judged as illegally spawned are removed. As host, the ones it's certain about are deleted
for everyone (even out of the cheater's inventory) and unexplained spawn requests are refused. Choose how sure it
must be with
[SpawnCleanup] Level(Everything / Strong / Proof). - Lag guard: if a pile gets past the flood guard anyway, your game keeps only the 10 nearest of a type active
once 15+ are around you, and plays at most 3 explosions a second, so a dynamite flood can't freeze your game
(
[LagGuard], your screen only).
Roles and kicking (host)
- Roles: in a player's profile the host picks Not trusted, Trusted (may mod: their spawns are left alone, may request kicks) or Shield bypass (also gets through everyone's shield and can kick). Everyone with Summit Watch uses the host's list, so nobody disagrees; if the host doesn't have Summit Watch, nobody is trusted. In someone else's lobby you can still set your saved roles for when you host.
- Demotion takes it back: demoting someone to Not trusted removes everything they spawned while trusted.
- Kick: the host can kick anyone; shield-bypass players kick not-trusted players (as a Kick / Ignore prompt for
the host by default,
[Kick] ApproveModKicks, so a moderator gone rogue can't kick anyone alone); trusted players can Request kick and the host or a shield-bypass player answers with one click. Trusted and shield-bypass players can only be kicked by the host. Optional auto-kick on CONFIRMED ([Kick] AutoKickConfirmed, off). - Host rescue: a player flung at an impossible speed is pulled back to where they last stood, even if they
don't have Summit Watch, so one host with it protects the whole lobby (
[Shield] HostRescue, on). - Ground flyers: a not-trusted player caught flying (hovering, walking on air or defying gravity) is teleported back to where they last stood (every normal game obeys the host's teleport), so flying stops being useful. Panel button Ground flyers; on by default.
- Flight lock: someone caught flying twice in 10 minutes (or CONFIRMED) is pulled down on every takeoff, no detection needed: off the ground longer than a jump, rising without jumping, or standing on air. Cannons, mushrooms, ropes and climbing still work. It lapses after 10 quiet minutes, or the host clicks Unlock in their profile.
- Kicking off: the panel's Kicking button lets the host turn in-game kicks off for everyone with Summit Watch (except the host and shield-bypass players).
- Ignored kicks: PEAK's kick only asks the player's game to leave, so a cheat menu can ignore it. Summit Watch then treats them as gone for everyone who has it (muted, commands and new items blocked) and kicks them again if they rejoin. Someone who joins and leaves more than 3 times in 2 minutes is kicked the next time they join.
- Unkick: the panel's Kicked this session list (host and shield bypass) has an Unkick button: they can rejoin without being kicked again, and if they ignored the kick they stop being treated as gone. Shield-bypass players can unkick not-trusted players; the host can unkick anyone.
In the panel and profile
- Warn lobby posts a message in the join/leave feed of everyone with Summit Watch and copies it to your clipboard for Steam or Discord chat.
- Mute silences a player for you. Copy ID and Copy report (every offense with its time) for reports.
- Evidence log:
BepInEx/SummitWatch/logs/, one file per launch (its path is hidden in the panel unless you click Show path).
Config
BepInEx/config/summitwatch.cfg: the shortcut ([General] PanelShortcut, default Ctrl+0), the mini overlay's
corner and opacity, toasts, how fast evidence fades, your roles for when you host, kick options, the shield, lag
guard and cleanup levels, and per-detector on/off, weight and cap.
Notes
- Voice is analysed in memory as loudness numbers only. Nothing is recorded or saved, and nothing is sent anywhere except the warnings and lobby messages you and the host trigger.
- Players without Summit Watch still see everything the cheater does; protection and hiding apply to the games that run it.
- Other mods that move players around, fly or spawn items will look suspicious. That's what roles are for.
- Inventory or hotbar mods that create items their own way can look like an "Impossible item". The host can trust
their users, or set
[Detector.ImpossibleItem] Enabled = false. If cleanup ever removes a legit item, lower[SpawnCleanup] Level. - A command aimed at a single other player isn't visible to you, so some cheats only show up for their target.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
0.1.4
- Approve mod kicks (host, on by default): a shield-bypass player's kick becomes a Kick / Ignore prompt for the host instead of happening at once, and their game says it was sent for approval.
- Mod-friendly mode: a panel button that pauses everything Summit Watch does to your own game (shield, anti-fling, lag guard, hiding items, blocking players who ignored a kick), so it can't clash with your other mods. Detection, the %, warnings and host actions keep working.
- Flight lock (host): a player caught flying twice in 10 minutes (or CONFIRMED) is pulled down on every takeoff within about a second, without needing new detections. Shown as "flight lock" in the panel and mini overlay; Unlock in their profile.
- Host rescue: when you host, any player flung at an impossible speed is pulled back to where they last stood, even if they don't have Summit Watch (their own Summit Watch's rescue goes first when they do).
- Fix: flying or noclipping with your own mod no longer gets you yanked back. The "flown around / dragged through rock" rescue now only acts if another player pushed, kicked, grabbed, teleported or flung at you in the last 5 s.
- Walking on air: a new detector for fly cheats that fake being on the ground (they walk or stand idle in mid-air on your screen). Summit Watch looks under them itself, so the cheat can't hide by claiming anything.
- Defying gravity: catches fly cheats that keep the normal falling animation: in the air but hovering, rising or sinking steadily instead of falling, judged from their real positions within about 2 seconds.
- Ground flyers (host): a not-trusted player caught flying is teleported back to where they last stood. Toggle it with the panel's Ground flyers button; a menu that blocks it is called out so you can kick.
- Unkick: a Kicked this session list in the panel with an Unkick button (host, and shield bypass for not-trusted players). Unkicked players can rejoin without being kicked again, and someone who ignored a kick stops being treated as gone.
0.1.3
- Mini overlay: names and % in a corner while you keep playing. Ctrl+0 now cycles mini overlay, full panel,
off (F2 no longer opens the panel; change it with
[General] PanelShortcut). - Lag guard: spawned piles keep only their 10 nearest items active on your screen once 15+ of a type are around you, and at most 3 explosions a second play, so a dynamite flood can't freeze your game.
- Kick guard: "super kicks" (too strong, too long a knockdown, or from too far away) are refused and logged as an impossible push. The host can turn kicking off for everyone with Summit Watch from the panel.
- Rescue: being flown around or dragged through rock by a cheat now sends you back too, and every rescue goes to the last place you were standing stably.
0.1.2
- Single pushes far stronger than anything in the game (the usual "fling player" button), absurd knockdowns and fake revives that teleport you are refused.
- Anti-fling in layers: fast bodies are blocked before they touch you, impossible pushes are undone, and you're teleported back to safety if you're flung anyway.
- Rejoin spam: more than 3 join/leaves in 2 minutes means a kick on the next join.
- Demoting someone to Not trusted removes everything they spawned while trusted.
- Bouncing between mushrooms no longer counts as flight.
0.1.1
- The evidence log's path is hidden in the panel unless you click Show path.
0.1.0
- First release: the 0-99% griefing score with CONFIRMED proof, soundboard detection, profiles and reports, warnings, the self-shield and anti-fling, flood guard and spawn cleanup, and host roles and kicking.
