Stamina Panic
Sound the alarm when your stamina gets too low.
Version 2.0.0 — full rebuild. The bar outline flashes when you are in the red, and you can pick separate sounds for stamina and extra stamina. Extra stamina is flash only by default. Photosensitivity is already respected: if that vanilla option is on, the outline gets a static tint instead of pulsing.
Use ModConfig to tweak it live.
The pack still comes with audio files. Drop extras next to the plugin and pick them in the config.

Features
- Main stamina outline flashes the whole time you are in the red zone
- Extra-stamina outline flashes while extra stamina is low and being drained
- Optional warning sounds for each bar, with their own volume, fade, loop, and duration cap
- Extra-stamina sound is off by default (flash only)
- Dropdown audio picker in ModConfig — both cues default to
Panic.oggwhen that file is present - Volume follows the vanilla Master Volume slider
- Optional
AfflictionOnly(off by default): only warn when afflictions have eaten the bar, not when you sprint / climb / jump - CueLoop off = play once until that bar goes back above the threshold
- Optional duration cap so a long affliction stretch does not loop forever (off by default; 180 seconds when enabled)
- Fades out if you pass out or die while a cue is playing
- Ignores the empty-bar moment on spawn / revive
- No lobby noise — only during level scenes
Installation
- Download via Thunderstore
- Place the files in
BepInEx/plugins/ - Launch the game — config is generated on first run 🔥 or use a Mod Manager 🔥
Drop extra .ogg or .wav files next to the plugin DLL (subfolders are fine). Reopen ModConfig if you add files while the menu is already open.
Configuration
Config file:
BepInEx/config/tony4twentys.Stamina_Panic.cfg
Or configure live with ModConfig.
This is a 2.0.0 rebuild, so old Audio / General.StaminaThreshold keys will not carry over. Re-check settings after updating.

How it works
- Main bar: remaining usable stamina (
current + extra), so afflictions that shrink the bar also count. Turn onAfflictionOnlyif you only want the warning when injury / hunger / poison / weight / etc. have squeezed the bar, not from sprinting / climbing / jumping - Extra bar: the bonus stamina pip. Outline flashes while that pip is low and draining. Sound stays off unless you enable
PlayAudio - Passing out or dying fades a playing cue (loop is forced off for that fade). Spawn / revive empty-bar moments are ignored
- Audio is local. Nobody else hears your panic
Dependencies

Recommended
- ModConfig for in-game settings and the audio dropdown

CHANGELOG
Changelog
[2.0.0] - 2026-09-20
- Full rebuild
- AfflictionOnly off now stays in the red zone while remaining stamina is actually below the threshold, including when injury / hunger have squeezed the bar (previously it treated a “full remaining” bar as recovered and stopped the loop)
- Pick stamina and extra-stamina audio from a ModConfig dropdown (drop
.ogg/.wavfiles next to the plugin; both default toPanic.oggwhen present) - Main stamina outline flash while in the red zone; extra-stamina outline flash while extra stamina is low and being drained
- Extra-stamina sound is off by default (flash only)
- Optional
AfflictionOnlymode (off by default) so sprinting / climbing / jumping do not trigger the main warning - Volume follows the vanilla Master Volume slider
- Optional duration cap so a long red-zone stretch does not loop forever (off by default; 180 seconds when enabled)
- Loop can be turned off so a cue plays once until stamina goes back above the threshold
- Audio toggles if you want flash with no sound
- Fades out if you pass out or die while a cue is playing; ignores the empty-bar moment on spawn / revive
- No more 30-second startup delay or extra-files folder workaround
[1.0.4] - 2025-09-16
- Added check so audio would not loop forever if you were dead or passed out
[1.0.3] - 2025-09-07
- Updated to dynamically check the plugins root directory for the audio file to play (this means you must add a folder to seperate the extra audio files from the root directory)
- removed config for audio path
- updated README to make user aware of having to choose the audio they want and move others into a seperate folder they create
[1.0.2] - 2025-08-12
- Fix after Mesa update
- Audio now routes through the game's audio mixer for better compatibility with recent PEAK updates.
- Ensured the audio source is 2D, ignoring spatial attenuation for consistent cue volume.
- Introduced a smooth fade-out effect when stamina recovers above the threshold instead of abruptly stopping the audio.
- Fade-out duration is configurable via the new
FadeOutTimesetting in the config file.
[1.0.0] - 2025-08-05
- Initial release.
