CartTrain Locomotives
An addon for CartTrain that lets the vanilla Scout and Hauler act as the lead vehicle for a train of large carts.
Controls
- Move a vanilla large cart behind the Scout or Hauler.
- Hold either the cart or the Scout/Hauler.
- Press Left Shift + X to connect them.
- Hold either connected object and press Left Shift + X again to disconnect.
There is no automatic coupling.
Features
- Scout and Hauler can tow the first vanilla large cart.
- CartTrain can continue the chain behind that first cart.
- Visible connection beam while the locomotive/cart connection is active.
- Virtual-hand towing: forces are applied to the cart, not the Scout/Hauler.
- Soft stay-behind handling keeps the first cart closer to the vehicle centerline and reduces wall/floor snagging.
- Only the vanilla
Item Cart Mediumis accepted as the locomotive follower, avoiding accidental links to unrelated modded carts.
Requirements
- BepInEx
- CartTrain 1.3.1
Notes
CartTrain Locomotives is designed as an addon to CartTrain rather than a replacement for it. The Scout/Hauler handles the first cart; CartTrain handles carts farther back in the chain.
