CartDump
CartDump is a work-in-progress mod for R.E.P.O that adds a Quick Deposit action to the in-game Cart, letting you instantly empty it without dragging it all the way to the extraction point.
⚠️ This mod is still in active development. Expect bugs and incomplete features.
📦 What CartDump Does
- Adds a Quick Deposit action to the cart: instantly empties it (all items fall to the ground) and temporarily removes the cart so it doesn't block your way
- Only works while the cart is in Strong mode (actively being handled) — not in Weak/Dragged mode, to prevent accidental use while just pulling the cart around
- Fully multiplayer-synced — Quick Deposit plays out identically for everyone in the lobby, not just locally
⏱ Current Behavior
- Only usable while the cart is in Strong mode
- Walk up to the cart and press the configured interact key (default: F) while the prompt is visible
- The prompt shows briefly when conditions are met, then hides itself automatically after a few seconds
- The cart disappears, items inside fall to the ground, and after a short delay it respawns above you and drops down naturally
- Timers and range are still being tuned — expect these to change
⚙️ Configuration
Some values can now be changed via the BepInEx config file (or an in-game config editor mod such as REPOConfig):
- Interact Key — the key used to trigger Quick Deposit (default:
F) - Parked Duration — how many seconds the cart stays gone before respawning (default:
2s)
More values (respawn height, interact range, prompt duration) are planned to move into config as well.
Note: key options currently show as a plain value in some in-game config editors rather than a "press a key to bind" UI — this is a limitation of those tools, not something CartDump controls yet.
🛠 Planned Features
- Move remaining hardcoded values (respawn height, interact range, prompt duration) into config
- Improved feedback (UI / sound / logs) for Quick Deposit
- Custom interact prompt visuals to better match the game's own UI style
- Multiplayer behavior testing across more scenarios (mid-round joins, host migration, simultaneous use)
- Friendlier in-game keybind rebinding (press-a-key style) instead of raw config values
🎭 Just for Fun Changes
In addition to the main functionality, this mod includes some non-serious changes made purely for fun:
- Some enemy names have been changed
- These are mostly inside jokes and nicknames used by me and my friends
- They do not affect gameplay, stats, or behavior
- These changes may change, expand, or be removed at any time
This section exists purely for amusement and personal flair 😄
🚧 Development Status
- Early development
- Core mechanics still changing
- Not feature-complete
- Not fully balanced
Do not expect final behavior yet.
💡 Feedback & Contributions
Feedback, bug reports, and suggestions are welcome while this mod is in development.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
CartDump v0.1.7
Changes
- Interact key for Quick Deposit is now configurable via
ConfigManager(ConfigEntry<KeyCode>) instead of a hardcoded constant. - Parked duration (time before the cart respawns) is now configurable via
ConfigManager; default reduced from 5s to 2s. - Cart now respawns directly above the triggering player and falls down naturally via physics, instead of spawning in front of them based on look direction.
CartDump v0.1.5 and v0.1.6
Changes
- Complete Mod Revamp, old system got reworked
- Added a Quick Deposit action for the cart, usable only while the cart is in Strong mode (not while Weak/Dragged).
- Cart briefly disappears when used, letting all items inside fall to the ground, then reappears near the triggering player after a short delay.
- Added an interact prompt above the cart that shows only when Quick Deposit is available, and hides itself automatically a few seconds after appearing.
- Fully multiplayer-synced: the action plays out identically for every player in the lobby.
- Added a debug logging option (toggleable in the BepInEx Config Manager) to help trace what's happening during testing.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash when using Quick Deposit caused by a Unity API not available in this game's Unity version (
Rigidbody.linearVelocity). - Fixed the cart respawning on top of / inside the player instead of a short distance in front of them, by using look direction instead of body direction and snapping to the ground.
CartDump v0.1.4
Changes
- Renamed some enemy names.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the cart was not equippable even though it was in the ExtractionPoint.
