Skate+Spot Battle Ranked Mode

Ranked 1v1 S.K.A.T.E. and Spot Battles for ReSkate, powered by Skatefeed.

IMPORTANT — YOU MUST REGISTER FIRST. Both skaters need a free account on skatefeed.eu and must link their accounts to the mod. An ordinary ReSkate throwdown against a random player is not automatically a Skatefeed ranked match.

1. Register and link your Skatefeed account

1. Both players register at https://skatefeed.eu/register.php, or log in if they already have accounts.
2. While signed in, visit https://skatefeed.eu/ranked.php and click Generate link code under LINK RESKATE.
3. In ReSkate, press Insert and open Plugins → Skate+Spot Battle Ranked Mode. If needed, enable the mod first under Mods.
4. Choose Enter website pairing code and enter the one-time code from Skatefeed. The code expires after 10 minutes and can only be used once.
5. Look for the linked-account confirmation. Repeat on the other player's game.

Your ReSkate name does not have to match your Skatefeed username. The linked account identifies you.

2. Start a ranked 1v1 S.K.A.T.E. match

1. Both players must be linked to Skatefeed and in the same ReSkate multiplayer session.
2. Press Insert → Plugins → Skate+Spot Battle Ranked Mode.
3. Select S.K.A.T.E. under Match type. Choose Challenge Skatefeed username and enter the opponent's Skatefeed username (not necessarily their in-game name).
4. Your opponent opens the same plugin page and chooses Accept ranked #... for the incoming challenge. The ranked match is now active on Skatefeed.
5. Open ReSkate's native Throwdowns menu, start a regular S.K.A.T.E. game with that opponent, and play normally.
6. As soon as a skater reaches all five S.K.A.T.E. letters, the mod automatically reports the loser and winner. Both linked clients must send matching reports before Skatefeed finalizes the result.

No manual S.K.A.T.E. letter entry and no Finish button required. The ranked match must be accepted before finishing the native S.K.A.T.E. game.

3. Start a ranked 1v1 Spot Battle

1. Both players must be linked and playing together.
2. Go to Insert → Plugins → Skate+Spot Battle Ranked Mode and choose Spot Battle under Match type.
3. Choose Challenge Skatefeed username and enter the opponent's Skatefeed username.
4. Your opponent opens the same plugin page and accepts the ranked challenge.
5. Start a regular Spot Battle with that opponent through ReSkate's native Throwdowns menu. Play all rounds.
6. At the end, check the highest completed round score for each player on the native Spot Battle scoreboard. Best round wins — do not add rounds together.
7. In the plugin, both players choose Finish Spot Battle - enter both scores. Each enters their own best round score and the opponent's best round score.
8. Skatefeed finalizes the match only when both submitted scorecards agree. If they disagree, the match stays pending until corrected. Ties require a rematch.

Spot Battle score entry is currently manual by design because the tested ReSkate Lua API does not expose the game's final native Spot Battle scoreboard.

4. Leaderboard and results

All confirmed S.K.A.T.E. and Spot Battle results go to one all-time ranked leaderboard at https://skatefeed.eu/ranked.php. No seasons or leagues are needed.

Troubleshooting

• No link? Log into Skatefeed, generate a fresh code (10-minute expiry), and re-enter it. Both players must have their own accounts.
• No match result? Check that both players linked their accounts and accepted the ranked challenge before the throwdown. The plugin shows how many of the two result reports have arrived.
• S.K.A.T.E. still pending? Both clients must have this mod enabled and both automatic reports must agree. Check Skate.exe/logs/ReSkate.log for [SkatefeedRanked] messages.
• Spot Battle pending? Both players must enter matching best-round scorecards, in the correct order (own points / opponent's points).
• Upgrading from Skatefeed Ranked? Remove/disable the old skatefeed-ranked package first. Do not run old and new copies together; both would listen for the same matches.

Requirements

• ReSkate 2.1.2 or a compatible release with the Lua plugin API.
• Two linked Skatefeed accounts and a ReSkate multiplayer session for real ranked matches.
• Network access to skatefeed.eu for account pairing, match status, and submissions.
