README

HarpoonAnimFix

Brings back Engineer's original Thermal Harpoons animations (yay)

Unneeded yap session below, you've been warned.

I was talking with a few friends when the topic of Engineer came up a while ago, they mentioned the funny animation quirks he has when running while placing his turrets, while showing me this, they had to use Thermal Harpoons to kill a few enemies in their way, when they made note of the lack of animations for this ability, I commented on the fact that they do in fact have animations. Later, when I found that they infact did not have any animations, I was sent down a short rabbit hole, in which I could find no evidence of anyone ever mentioning the removal of any sort of animation, so I assumed I was crazy, and moved on.

Fast-forward to now, where a video comes up on my feed by Shoestring, detailing this exact thing. Once again I was sent down a rabbit hole where I eventually came to the conclusion that at some point Pre-SOTV, this animation was accidentally removed from the game. I checked and the triggers for it and stuff are still in the files, they just point to files that are empty in the current version.

So now, with my suspicions confirmed, I simply just grabbed the version Thermal Harpoon was added, took the math that made it work, and put it back where it was meant to be, hurray.

:)

Thank you Shoestring for your video!!!!!!!!!!!!
