README

Extended Sacrifice

Tired of the Artifact of Sacrifice being stingy? Extended Sacrifice makes monsters drop more items when Sacrifice is active, and lets you tune exactly how generous it is.

Works in solo and multiplayer. Only the host needs it.

Features

  • Drop chance multiplier: scale the vanilla 5% base chance up (or down).
  • Elite and boss bonus: separate multipliers for elites and bosses/champions. They stack.
  • Stage scaling: the drop chance grows with every stage cleared, up to a cap you choose.
  • Pity system: after a streak of kills without a drop, the next kill is guaranteed to drop.
  • Jackpot: every drop has a small chance to burst into several items at once.
  • Drop safety net: in big modpacks, another mod crashing while a monster dies would normally cancel the Sacrifice drop silently. Extended Sacrifice detects it and still rolls your drop. The other mod's error stays in the log so you can find the culprit.

The vanilla rule that tougher monsters drop more often is kept, and the final chance can be capped. Each feature can be turned off on its own.

Multiplayer

  • Drops are rolled on the host, so only the host needs the mod. Clients can join without it.
  • If everyone has it installed, that's fine too: drops are never doubled.
  • Only the host's settings apply. Whoever hosts the lobby decides the drop rates.

Configuration

Edit BepInEx/config/Irodflash.ExtendedSacrifice.cfg, or install Risk Of Options to change everything from the in-game settings menu. Changes apply immediately, even mid-run.

Setting Default Description
Enabled true Turn the mod off to get vanilla Sacrifice back
Base Drop Chance 5 Base chance in percent (vanilla: 5)
Drop Chance Multiplier 2 Multiplier on the base chance
Max Drop Chance 100 Cap on the final chance, in percent
Verbose Logging false Log every roll to the console (troubleshooting)
Elite Multiplier 1.5 Extra multiplier for elites
Boss Multiplier 2 Extra multiplier for bosses and champions
Bonus Per Stage 10 +% of the chance per stage cleared
Max Stage Bonus 100 Cap on the stage bonus, in percent
Kills Before Guaranteed Drop 40 Pity threshold
Jackpot Chance 2 Chance in percent that a drop is a jackpot
Jackpot Item Count 3 Items dropped by a jackpot

Troubleshooting

At the start of every stage, the BepInEx console shows a line like:

Stage golemplains: mod enabled: True, host: True, Sacrifice active: True -> drops handled here: True

If host is False, you are a client and the host's settings apply. Turn on Verbose Logging to see the chance and result of every kill.

Compatibility

Extended Sacrifice replaces the vanilla Sacrifice drop roll. Other mods that change that same roll (for example Sacrifice Tweaks or Red's Sacrifice) will conflict: use only one of them.
