README

ReksikCards 5.0.0

ReksikCards is a 220-card pack built for long, heavily stacked ROUNDS matches. Culture cards now lead with strong permanent ROUNDS stats, while their custom mechanics act as supplemental build texture.

What is inside

  • 22 hand-written cards with bespoke mechanics, progression and cross-card Bonds.
  • 198 Culture cards inspired by eight approved works.
  • 22 Legendary cards out of 220 total: exactly 10%.
  • 19 headline Culture Legendaries, each with embedded portrait art and one distinct signature rule.
  • Every Culture card has exactly four permanent vanilla-compatible stats.
  • All 179 non-Legendary Culture cards have a visible drawback as part of their profile.
  • All 198 Culture cards have separately authored stat profiles; exact profile duplicates are rejected before packaging.
  • Every Culture card belongs to a semantic role family based on its character, event, artifact or idea.

Classroom of the Elite is treated as one source covering seasons 1-4. Its families describe roles such as hidden genius, class leadership, social influence, special exams, the White Room and first-year pressure. Seasons do not define mechanics.

Headline cards

Major characters and concepts receive purpose-built permanent profiles as well as signatures. Each of the 19 headline Culture cards has exactly one signature rule that changes how its power is prepared, stored or released. The bespoke rule is the only executor for that signature, so it is not silently doubled by a generic effect. Their mechanic count is equal; their coefficients and play patterns are not.

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is the strongest Culture card: +100% health, +100% damage, +50% attack speed and -50% block cooldown. He also has the strongest headline signature, building Calculation from combat actions and converting it into stored offensive power on block.

Card readability

Culture card faces show their 3-4 real permanent stats. They do not print copy counts, family implementation details or lore paragraphs. Most shared mechanics remain supplemental and hidden from the compact card face; headline and selected event behavior is surfaced only when it is important to understand the pick.

Stacking

  • Permanent stats stack through the normal ROUNDS stat pipeline.
  • Exact duplicate Culture mechanics preserve quadratic self-growth: two copies resolve as 2^2, three as 3^2, and so on.
  • Different cards in the same semantic family add a smaller linear family bonus.
  • Hand-written cards retain their own bespoke stacking behavior, including additional area, charges, targets, duration or stored power.
  • Host mechanic power is a direct multiplier; it does not change card counts or replace the stacking rules.

This keeps repeated picks exciting in a 220-card pool while still rewarding builds assembled from related cards.

Host controls

The room host can synchronize:

  • Marathon, Balanced, Chaos and Legacy presets;
  • Bonds on or off;
  • global mechanic power and VFX intensity;
  • Culture mechanics and Culture combat VFX;
  • the shared Culture update rate from 1 to 30 Hz;
  • Common, Uncommon, Rare and Legendary draw-weight multipliers;
  • optional diagnostic text above players.

Settings display persistent [ON] and [OFF] states. Clients are read-only while online and receive the host's active values. Text above players is disabled by default to keep long matches readable.

Deterministic presentation

The 19 headline Legendaries use embedded portrait art; the rest of the Culture roster uses shared static source art. Animated preview files are not included. Runtime effects derive a deterministic visual identity from card ID, source, mechanic and rarity, varying palette, shape, accent, scale and motion without adding unbounded effect systems. Projectile trails, pulses, shockwaves, retaliation rings and the shared low-health aura remain bounded.

Dependencies

  • BepInExPack_ROUNDS
  • UnboundLib
  • ModdingUtils
  • CardChoiceSpawnUniqueCardPatch
  • RarityLib

All players in a lobby should use the same package and dependency versions.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

5.0.0

  • Replaced the shared archetype/rarity generator with 198 individually hand-authored Culture profiles.
  • Gave every Culture card exactly four visible permanent ROUNDS stats; all 179 non-Legendary cards keep a meaningful visible tradeoff.
  • Added one-by-one validation for ID coverage, stat count, family coefficients, Legendary signature count, exact stat duplicates and full-profile duplicates.
  • Removed every exact duplicate stat profile across the 198-card Culture roster.
  • Reworked every supplemental mechanic combination and coefficient around its specific character, event, artifact or concept.
  • Prevented all 19 bespoke Legendary signatures from also firing a second generic copy of the same mechanic.
  • Extended Legendary stacking so exact copies remain quadratic while related family cards contribute linearly.
  • Kept card faces compact: real stats first, only important mechanic text, no copy/family implementation text.
  • Preserved the 220-card roster and exactly 22 Legendary cards (10%).

4.1.1

  • Fixed a startup TypeLoadException that prevented all cards and settings from registering on the Mono runtime shipped with ROUNDS.
  • Removed the incompatible readonly VFX metadata while preserving compatibility with the active ROUNDS mod dependencies.
  • Added a package-time assembly compatibility gate so unavailable IsReadOnlyAttribute metadata cannot be released again.

4.1.0

  • Rebuilt all 198 Culture cards around strong, character-driven permanent ROUNDS stat profiles.
  • Added 3-4 compact visible stats to every Culture card and a visible tradeoff to all 179 non-Legendary Culture cards.
  • Added 19 embedded portrait artworks for the headline Culture Legendaries.
  • Removed copy counters, family formulas and lore paragraphs from card faces; mechanics are shown only when they define the pick.
  • Preserved normal ROUNDS stacking for permanent stats and quadratic exact-copy growth for supplemental Culture mechanics.
  • Added deterministic per-card VFX palettes, shapes, accents and motion while keeping the shared effect budget bounded.
  • Routed Culture damage and repel effects through network-aware ROUNDS health/force calls.
  • Added runtime logs that confirm when each Culture card is armed and reconciled.
  • Fixed Fedr and Maxim temporary reload bonuses to modify the live GunAmmo.reloadTimeMultiplier read by the game and TAB mods.

4.0.0

  • Rebuilt the 198-card Culture catalog around characters, events, artifacts and story concepts instead of index-based archetype assignment.
  • Replaced the four season-based Classroom of the Elite branches with one source covering seasons 1-4 and six semantic role families.
  • Added 19 headline Culture Legendaries with one distinct signature rule each.
  • Kept the signature mechanic count equal across headline cards while making Kiyotaka Ayanokoji the strongest by coefficient.
  • Set the complete rarity budget to exactly 22 Legendary cards out of 220 total: 19 Culture plus 3 hand-written cards.
  • Preserved quadratic growth for exact duplicate Culture cards and linear synergy between different cards in the same family.
  • Added explicit mechanics for selected story events and artifacts.
  • Restricted event-driven and periodic Culture mechanics to the locally owned player; ambiguous Photon ownership now fails closed.
  • Kept diagnostic text above players off by default.
  • Kept card presentation static; no animated preview assets are included.
  • Updated public documentation for the roster, rarity budget, stacking contract and host controls.

3.0.1

  • Fixed repeated shooting accumulating vertical player velocity and enabling levitation.
  • Kept Culture and Arina shot movement as horizontal dashes toward the closest enemy.
  • Removed Matusovsky's undocumented per-projectile random self-recoil.
  • Preserved quadratic duplicate-card scaling.

3.0.0

  • Expanded the roster from 22 to 220 stackable cards.
  • Added 198 Culture cards from eight approved viewed-title sources, including Classroom of the Elite seasons 1-4.
  • Added 18 new Legendary cards; 21 of 220 cards were Legendary in this release.
  • Made Kiyotaka Ayanokoji Legendary through RarityLib.
  • Rebuilt Roman as a single batched coup: erase the old deck, preserve Roman and turn erased cards into Authority.
  • Made Nazar and Subject #8 stackable and scaled their mechanics with copies.
  • Added 16 shared Culture mechanics with quadratic duplicate growth, linear family aggregation and bounded VFX.
  • Added host controls for Culture mechanics, Culture VFX, update rate and four rarity weights.
  • Fixed toggle state presentation with persistent ON/OFF labels.
  • Added static text mini-previews for source, title and primary effect without animated preview assets.
  • Disabled text above players by default and kept Culture feedback effect-only.
  • Replaced per-card animated art helpers with static shared card art and event-driven spawn correction.
  • Replaced repeated bond deck scans with the shared O(1) stack tracker.
  • Added hard dependency on RarityLib 1.3.0.

2.0.0

  • Reworked the original roster around linear mechanic stacking for long matches.
  • Added Ksyusha, Arina, 1 and -1, six Bonds, and synchronized host presets.
  • Added validated release packaging with flat Thunderstore archives.
