README

Auto Close Doors

By RebornReaper | Version 1.2.0 | Schedule I (IL2CPP)

Automatically closes doors after they have been open for a configurable amount of time. The default delay is 5 seconds.

Features

  • Configurable door closing delay, including decimal values.
  • Enable or disable automatic closing through a config file.
  • Optional Mod Manager & Phone App support: change both settings from the main menu or in-game phone, with immediate application and saving.
  • In multiplayer, the host closes doors using the game's normal network update.
  • Creates missing configuration automatically and preserves existing settings.

Requirements

  • The IL2CPP version of Schedule I. This release does not support the Mono/alternate branches.
  • MelonLoader 0.7.3.

Optional mod

  • Mod Manager & Phone App — lets you change settings from the main menu and in-game phone. Install its IL2CPP version. Auto Close Doors also works without it, using the config file.

Installation

Thunderstore Mod Manager / r2modman

  1. Select Schedule I and your modded profile.
  2. Install AutoCloseDoors and its MelonLoader dependency.
  3. Launch the game through the mod manager.

In multiplayer, install and configure the mod on the host. Installing it only on a joining client does not control door closing.

Manual installation

  1. Install MelonLoader 0.7.3 for your IL2CPP game installation.
  2. Extract this download and copy Mods/AutoCloseDoors.dll into the game's Mods folder.
  3. Remove any older copy of AutoCloseDoors.dll from your active mod installation to avoid loading it twice.
  4. Launch the game once to generate the config.

Configuration

Mod Manager & Phone App (optional)

With Mod Manager & Phone App installed, select Auto Close Doors in the main menu's Config tab or the phone's Settings app. Change Enabled or Close delay (seconds). Changes apply immediately and are saved to UserData/AutoCloseDoors.cfg; no restart is required for these menu changes.

The host's settings control doors in multiplayer. Reducing the delay can immediately close doors that have already been open longer than the new delay. Invalid delays and failed config writes keep the previous value and log a warning. Reopen the settings panel if its displayed value needs refreshing after a rejected edit.

Mod Manager is optional. Existing CFG settings take precedence over cached MelonPreferences values at startup. This integration follows the same MelonPreferences approach as Flash light Enhanced.

Manual configuration

After the first launch, close the game and edit UserData/AutoCloseDoors.cfg in the active game or mod manager profile directory. The mod logs the full config path when it starts.

Enabled = true
CloseDelaySeconds = 5
Setting Default Description
Enabled true Set to false to disable automatic door closing.
CloseDelaySeconds 5 Seconds a door remains open before closing. Must be a finite number greater than zero.

Use a dot for decimals, for example CloseDelaySeconds = 2.5. Invalid file values fall back to defaults and log a warning. Restart the game after editing the file manually.

Existing config files are preserved. If you used an earlier build with Mods/AutoCloseDoors.cfg, move that file to UserData/AutoCloseDoors.cfg to keep your settings; this release reads only the UserData config. No config file is included in the download because the mod creates it automatically.

Compatibility and troubleshooting

  • This release targets IL2CPP only.
  • The host's config controls automatic closing in multiplayer.
  • Mods that also change door behavior may conflict.
  • If door closing stops after an error, check the MelonLoader log for Auto Close Doors disabled after an error.
  • If settings appear unchanged, check the startup log for the config path and ensure you are configuring the host. Manual file edits require a restart.

Validation status: version 1.2.0 has been compiled against local game and MelonLoader assemblies. Automated configuration checks cover existing settings, menu changes, decimal values, invalid delays, and failed writes. The author reports that in-game tests, including the Mod Manager & Phone App integration, passed. Installation through a mod manager has not yet been verified.

Uninstall

Remove the mod from your mod manager profile, or remove AutoCloseDoors.dll from your active Mods folder, then restart the game. You can also remove UserData/AutoCloseDoors.cfg if you no longer need its settings.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

1.0.1 — 2026-11-02

  • Corrected the compiled DLL for code mismatches.
  • Gameplay and settings are unchanged.

1.0 / 1.0.0 — 2026-10-24

Initial public release by RebornReaper. Nexus version: 1.0. Thunderstore/mod version: 1.0.0.

  • Autonomous dealer retaliation against the Benzies, with success/failure outcomes.
  • Recruited, conscious dealers only, with 120 individual messages and saved anti-repeat history.
  • Turf-weighted weed, mushrooms, meth and cocaine, including four base weed strains.
  • Standard, Premium and Heavenly quality; Wei/Leo favour higher-grade cocaine.
  • Native baggie packaging, jewellery/gold-bar bonuses and rare exclusive one/two-brick hauls.
  • Neon-green compass markers and portrait collection objectives.
  • Collection and unfinished-delivery persistence across saves/reloads.
  • Balanced daily event scheduling, cooldown and a safeguard after four eligible-day misses.
  • Fixed Balanced edition: no editable public config or testing shortcuts; legacy test configs are ignored.
  • Host authority; no S1API dependency.

Active-hostile-cartel integration, longer standard-playthrough balance and multiplayer still need broader feedback. Standard-or-better quality floor passed offline checks; it was not separately retested in-game after the final table change.
