README

Death Notices

Shows a notification when a player dies, with the cause and attacker when available.

  • Alex was shot by police.
  • Sam was shot by Riley.
  • Jordan was killed in an explosion.

Supports gunshots, melee, sharp weapons, explosions, physical impacts, and vehicle impacts when the game supplies matching damage data. Unknown causes show “Alex died.” Untyped or unmatched damage uses that fallback.

Installation

Install through r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager. For manual installation, put DeathNotices.dll in your game's Mods folder with MelonLoader 0.7.3 installed.

IL2CPP only. Built against Schedule I 0.4.6f13.

Multiplayer

Everyone needs the mod. Each copy displays notifications from the game's replicated death events. One notice per death; reviving allows another. Missing or unmatched damage data can produce a generic notice on a peer instead of an attacker name.

Works separately from Coordinated Police. No changes to damage, health, or respawning. Notifications last six seconds and are also written to MelonLoader/Latest.log under Death Notices:. No settings in this version.
