Fix black portals in ULTRAKILL's FRAUD layer!

Description

Fraud Portal Fix is a lightweight BepInEx plugin that attempts to fix black portals in ULTRAKILL's FRAUD layer, especially on older or unsupported graphics cards.

On some GPUs, portals appear completely black instead of displaying the area on the other side.

This mod fixes that issue by disabling the portal occlusion pass.

Compatibility

Successfully tested on:

• Intel HD Graphics 2000

Compatibility with other GPUs and game versions has not yet been confirmed.

Installation

Using r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager

1. Open your ULTRAKILL mod profile.
2. Find and install FraudPortalFix.
3. Launch the game through the mod manager.

Manual installation

1. Install BepInEx for ULTRAKILL.
2. Download the mod DLL.
3. Place FraudPortalFix.dll inside BepInEx/plugins/.
4. Launch ULTRAKILL.

How It Works

The plugin finds active PortalRenderV2 components and disables their doOcclusionPass setting.

This workaround can prevent portals from rendering as completely black on certain GPUs.

Note: This mod does not add missing GPU features or guarantee compatibility with all graphics hardware.

Known Limitations

• Only tested on Intel HD Graphics 2000.
• Other GPUs may behave differently.
• Future ULTRAKILL updates may require changes to the plugin.
• Disabling portal occlusion may affect rendering or performance.
