UltraHook
Turns Whiplash into a low-budged grappling hook by allowing it to attach to walls and other solid surfaces.
Features
Reel
The default behavior stays close to the original Whiplash.
Fire the hook at a surface and release the hook button to pull V1 toward it. Because it uses the game's existing Whiplash movement, the animations, sounds, slams, and overall feel remain familiar.
Momentum
Momentum is enabled by default.
While V1 is being pulled toward an anchored surface, speed builds based on the distance traveled. Reaching the wall uses up that speed, but canceling the hook early lets V1 keep the stored momentum for a fast slingshot launch.
Longer pulls build more speed. Some latches can also send V1 into a rapid orbit around the hook point, creating even more momentum before release.
Swing Mode
Swing Mode is an optional alternative for players who want a more traditional grappling-hook experience.
The hook pulls V1 upward at full Whiplash strength while allowing them to swing freely from the anchor. As V1 approaches the surface, the pull gradually settles into a hang against the wall.
Swing Mode never releases automatically. Press the hook button again when you are ready to let go.
