Features
Crafting stations
- Middle-click a recipe on the Craft tab to pin/unpin it.
- On the Upgrade tab, middle-click pins the upgrade costs for that quality (e.g. Bronze Axe ★5), not the base craft recipe.
- Pinned craft/upgrade entries are moved to the top of the list and marked with a gold pin star.
- Unpinning from the side panel removes the star from the craft list immediately.
Hammer build menu
- Right-click a buildable piece to pin/unpin it (middle-click still closes the vanilla build menu).
- Build pins use a teal diamond marker so they don’t conflict with the game’s gold star favorites.
- Pinning a buildable does not reorder the grid.
Side panel
- Lives under the minimap with each pin’s icon, name, and per-material
have/needcounts. - Counts turn green when you have enough and red while short; refreshed continuously.
- Hover a material row to see its name.
- Click the arrow to expand/collapse materials; collapse state is remembered per pin.
- Right-click a panel entry to open Unpin (shows the item name).
- A
+X morerow appears when you exceed the configured maximum. - The panel slides aside while inventory/crafting is open so it isn’t covered by the station UI.
- When the sailing HUD is visible, the panel moves under the wind/rudder dials.
- Hides during the full map, cutscenes, and when the HUD/menus/chat/console are active.
Persistence
- Pins (craft, upgrade, and build) are saved per character.
- Unresolved pins (e.g. from a missing mod) are kept and hidden until they can be resolved again.
Usage
- Craft / upgrade: open a station → middle-click a recipe (use the Upgrade tab when you want upgrade materials).
- Build: open the hammer menu → right-click a piece.
- Watch the panel under your minimap update as you gather materials.
- Expand/collapse rows with the arrow; right-click a panel entry (or pin again) to unpin.
Configuration
Settings live in BepInEx/config/shadymods.pinthoserecipes.cfg:
- General – master enable toggle, pin sound.
- Panel – max pinned recipes, panel scale, X offset, extra offset below the minimap, and inventory-open shift left/down.
- Colors – satisfied / missing / name colors (hex).
- Maintenance –
ClearActiveCharacterPinsclears all pins for the loaded character (resets itself tofalse).
Installation (manual)
Requires BepInExPack Valheim.
Copy plugins/PinThoseRecipes.dll into Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/.
Compatibility
Uses reflection and defensive patches, preserves vanilla craft-list ordering for unpinned recipes, and never deletes pins it can't resolve yet (e.g. from another mod that isn't loaded). Should coexist with most UI/crafting mods.
