⚒️ Balrond Second Chance

Overview

This mod introduces a Second Chance system to Valheim.

Instead of dying instantly, players enter a Downed state where they can:

• Be revived by another player
• Revive themselves (free or with item depending on config)
• Release their soul manually

All behavior is fully configurable with ServerSync added.

This is early release so if any error happens please send me feedback on discord with your logOutput.txt

🧭 What Happens When You Die?

1. You do NOT die immediately

2. You enter Downed state

3. A popup appears with options:

   • Wait for revive
   • Self revive (if enabled)
   • Release soul

4. A timer starts counting down

5. If timer ends → you die (depending on config)

🤝 How Other Players Revive You

• Another player walks close to you
• Presses Use (E)
• If config requires item:
  • They must have required item in inventory
• If config is free:
  • No item needed

Result:

• You are revived instantly
• You gain revive cooldown (optional)

🧍 Self Revive

Depending on config:

Free self revive

• Just press Resurrect button
• No item needed

Item-based self revive

• Requires item in inventory
• Consumes configured amount

💀 Release Soul

• Instantly die
• Skip waiting
• Works anytime

• DownedPresentationMode (Sit / Bed)

🌐 Translation

In config folder you find folder with ModName-Translation inside there is English.json If you seeing stuff like "$tag_something_bal" means translation file was not loaded or is not there. In case of dedicated servers you need to move translation on to the server manually. To add new language copy existing file rename file with Language name supported by the game itself then change the values NOT THE KEYS.
