This mod requires the following mods to function

Odin's Knot
Old vikings tied a knot in their beard so they wouldn't forget. Odin's Knot does it for you. When you log out, Odin asks what you were doing. When you come back, he tells you, along with where you are, how far you are from bed, and what you were lugging about.
- One line at logout: "Bring the iron to the swamp forge." Press Esc to skip.
- On login, a short scroll: your note, your biome, the distance to your bed, the three heaviest things in your bag, and how long you've been away. Move, jump or take a hit and it gets out of your way.
- Every character keeps its own knot, in every world.
Read or retie it (')
Press ' at any time to read your knot or change it.
Client-side only
Only you need it. The note is saved with your character, not the world: no new items, no network messages, no world data. Works in single-player, on dedicated servers and with friends who don't have it.
Configuration
Settings live in BepInEx/config/hevyh2o.valheim.odinsknot.cfg. If you have a

Things to know
- If the game closes without a logout (a crash, Alt+F4), your previous knot is kept.
- Quitting to the desktop from the menu asks too. Esc leaves your knot as it was; clearing the text and pressing Enter unties it.
- The scroll shows once per login, a few seconds after you arrive, not after a death. Open the menu, map or inventory and it steps aside until you close them.
- It never blocks a fight. Move, jump or take damage and the scroll is gone at once.
Log in to a raid and it waits until no enemy has been within
SafeRadiusfor a few seconds. If the fighting goes on for ten minutes, Odin gives up; press ' to read your knot instead. - "Time away" counts from the character's last save, which is your logout.
Also from Odin's tavern
Odin's Free Refills: no stamina costs while the coast is clear. Get back to whatever the knot said without stopping for breath.
Odin's Wanted Posters: look at a creature and press E to see its health, weaknesses and drops. For when the knot says "kill the troll by the river".
Odin's Almanac: press K for a forecast of the next weather changes in your biome. Check it before you set out on tonight's errand.
Odin's Saga: sleep or log out and Odin reads you the saga of your day; press J for a lifetime of deeds. The saga is for today; the knot is for tomorrow.
Odin's Hearth: press N at home to see your comfort level, what's counting, and the cheapest piece to build next. A good place to tie the knot before bed.
Odin's Pantry: press P to see your foods, what you could cook right now, and Odin's best three-food pick for your biome. Eat before you chase last week's plan.
Odin's Raven Returns: after you die, a raven guards your grave; press H to see where it is, what killed you and what's still waiting there. For when the knot reads "get my stuff back".
Odin's Drunk Cam: drink a mead and the world sways; the more meads, the more it sways. Purely visual, with an intensity slider and an off key. Explains some of the knots.
Odin's Weapon Memories: every weapon remembers what it has done and earns a name from it, with its maker's name engraved for good. Your sword remembers; the knot helps you do the same.
Odin's Stone Whispers: Odin whispers when a Rock or Mysterious Rock is near; press 9 and he turns your gaze to it. Tie "find that rock" in your knot and pick up the hunt next time.
Odin's Dusk Horn: a low horn before nightfall, and press Home for the way to your bed. Log out before it sounds and you'll come back to the same sunset, with a knot to say why you were out so late.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
0.1.3
- On-screen text now scales the way the game's own HUD does: by screen height and the game's GUI scale setting. It used to grow with the screen's width too, so on ultrawide screens it came out far too big, nearly twice the game's HUD at 5120x1440.
- The scroll and its text now match Odin's Long Drop: at 5120x1440 about half their old
size, and on a 16:9 screen about a third smaller.
TextScale1.4gives the old 16:9 size. TextScale(1, 0.5 to 2) sizes the login scroll, live.
0.1.2
- Listing now links Odin's Second Hand, the newest mod from Odin's tavern.
- Tavern icons in the listing now show each mod's current version.
- No gameplay changes.
0.1.1

0.1.0
- First release: when you log out or quit from the menu, Odin asks what you were doing (the game's own text box; Esc skips it and keeps your previous knot). - Press ' (
KnotKey) at any time to read your knot or change it. Every character keeps its own knot, saved with the character. - The scroll gets out of your way: moving, jumping or taking damage closes it at once.
