TravelingMerchant
A wandering merchant can visit your camp only in the evening. Gather around the bonfire, wait for his arrival, and trade once he has taken a seat.
He sells metals, wood, hides, and a walking staff. Each progression material unlocks after players have mined or gathered 100 of that material, counted across the world. Leather scraps, deer hide, and the staff are available from the start. Bronze requires 100 copper and 100 tin. Purchases from the merchant do not count toward unlocks. On existing worlds from day 6 onwards, materials already stored in built-in world chests are checked once when this update is first loaded and unlock their goods immediately. Materials missing from those chests still require 100 newly gathered units. Includes two new background music tracks that play during his visit.
How to invite him:
- Your world must have completed five full days (day 6 onwards).
- Light an outdoor Bonfire in the evening.
- Have at least one player sit on a chair near the bonfire and leave another chair free. Keep the approach clear.
- Once he is seated, walk up and press E to trade. After a visit, he skips the next two evenings.
The Wanderer's staff costs 1,000 gold and is held in your shield hand. While held, it grants you and nearby players within 16 metres a 5% movement speed bonus. The effect does not stack.
Supports solo and co-op play. Install the same version on every player and the server.
CHANGELOG
