Compatibility with other mods is limited. Some effects may not work or the game may become less stable. Try creating a new profile and go from there!
CHANGELOG
2.0.1 Fix the console sticking open on the Valheim 1.0 update
- The mod registered /cc by calling Terminal.ConsoleCommand's constructor directly, which bakes the exact parameter list into the build. Valheim 1.0 added two optional parameters to it, so that call became a MissingMethodException thrown out of Terminal.InitTerminal -- which runs inside Console.Awake, before the console hides itself, leaving it on screen with no way to dismiss it.
- The constructor is now looked up at runtime, so a future parameter being added does not break the mod again, and any failure to register /cc is logged instead of escaping into the game's own startup.
2.0.0 Dedicated server support, and a fresh start for the 1.0 game update
- New: dedicated-server mode. The mod holds its own Crowd Control connection instead of the desktop app, any number of streamers can link with /cc link, and effects route to the client that owns the targeted player.
- New: server operators get CrowdControl-Server.json to disable effects and to decide whether effects broadcast to every player.
- Players without the mod stay playable; they just cannot be targeted by player-scoped effects, and are told so once when they join.
- Updated BepInEx to 5.4.2333 (Doorstop 4.4.0) for the Unity 6 game build.
- The plugin now builds from a checkout on any machine.
