Combat and Loot
Loot the moment monsters die, star levels that grow with every boss, loaded crossbows and grappling hooks, a range check for the hook, calmer arrow effects, floating loot, breeding info and Valheim Legends add-ons.
9 mods in one: Instant Loot, Boss Stars After Defeat, Keep Loaded, Grapple Aim, Arrow Effects, Floating Loot, Breeding Status, Legends Toggle, Charm Scaling.
Every mod in detail, with all its settings: see the Wiki tab.
How it works
- Open the settings (F1). At the top, 0 - Sub-mods has a switch for every mod in this pack: turn on only what you want. Switching one off removes it right away, no restart.
- Below that, every mod has its own settings, under its name.
- F1 needs a config manager mod, e.g. ConfigurationManager by shudnal
(included in Digi Modpack). Without one the mods
still run with their default settings, and you can change the settings in r2modman: Config editor →
digi.valheim.combat.cfg. - Upgrading from the separate DigiTeam mods: your settings are copied over automatically the first time. Remove the separate ones (a mod that is still installed separately is skipped here).
Mods
Instant Loot
Monsters drop their loot the moment they die, shown in a stacked pickup list.
- No more waiting for the body to fade. Corpse time adjustable (default 60 s).
- Pickups stack in one small list (
Leather scraps x7) instead of a message per item; position, size and colors adjustable. - Loot can never drop twice.
Boss Stars After Defeat
Needs Star Level System.
Every boss you beat allows more stars on creatures, with more trophies from starred ones.
- Every boss you defeat raises the star cap of the earlier biomes, up to 5 stars.
- A boss has no stars until you have beaten it once; after that it can get stars too.
- Gentler extra damage per star, none at sea, and better trophy chances from starred creatures.
Keep Loaded
Crossbows and the grappling hook stay loaded when you switch weapons.
- The loaded state is saved on the item, so it even survives logging out.
- Reload in advance, switch to your sword, switch back and fire straight away.
Grapple Aim
The crosshair turns red when the grappling hook would not catch where you aim.
- Red crosshair when the hook would miss: out of reach, past its 60 m rope, or a surface it can't hold on to.
- Follows the hook's real flight exactly. Works with Better Archery, and fixes its free ammo from hook shots.
- The hook's tooltip shows its range.
Arrow Effects
Tone down the effects of fire, poison and frost arrows.
- A slider each for fire, poison and frost arrows (0-100%): particles, light and glow.
- Modded arrows and bolts included; changes apply right away.
Floating Loot
Dropped items float on water instead of sinking.
- Every dropped item floats like wood; you can choose items that should still sink.
Breeding Status
Hover a tame animal to see why it is or isn't breeding.
- Under a tame animal's name: fed or not, too crowded, partner nearby, and its love points.
- Works with modded animals.
Legends Toggle
The host turns Valheim Legends on or off for everyone, live.
- Turns classes, abilities, passives and the Legends stat changes off or on, no restart. Only the host or an admin can change it.
- Your class and Legends skill levels are kept while it is off.
- Bonus: skills from mods you removed are no longer deleted from your character.
Charm Scaling
Needs Valheim Legends.
The Enchanter's Charm lasts longer as your Alteration skill grows.
- Instead of a flat 30 seconds; at Alteration 100 it matches the 60 second cooldown.
Notes
- Mods that need another mod only start when that mod is installed; the rest work without it.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
1.0.4
- New: Hit Effects. Fades the effects that cover creatures in combat (burning, frost and poison on them, hit bursts, weapon, projectile and area impacts) so you see their attacks coming. Sliders for opacity, brightness and size, a switch per kind of effect, lights untouched. Replaces Dimmer Combat Particle Effects (remove that one), without its work on every frame.
1.0.3
- New: Passive Forsaken Powers. Your forsaken power is always on: the one you chose at a boss stone, or (host's choice) every power you unlocked. Replaces Digitalroot's Passive Forsaken Powers; remove that one.
- Boss Stars After Defeat, for Valheim 1.0.20 (trophy chance now grows with the star level): the extra trophy roll counts that higher chance and follows Star Level System's loot settings.
- Boss Stars After Defeat: new setting "Trophies as before Valheim 1.0.20" (on). 1.0.20 raises the trophy chance per star and stopped Star Level System's ScaleAllLootByLevel from giving more trophies per drop; this keeps trophies the way they were (normal chance, more trophies at once on starred creatures). Off = the new 1.0.20 way.
1.0.2
- A mod that is installed twice (on its own and inside this combined mod) now shows a message in the main menu, so you know to remove the separate one. Before, only the log said so.
- Fixed: some separate mods were not noticed, so both copies ran at the same time. Now the copy in the combined mod always stays off until the separate one is removed.
1.0.1
- Mod page: a short section for every mod, a link to the new wiki (every mod in detail, with all its settings), and a note that F1 needs a config manager mod (e.g. ConfigurationManager by shudnal). The mod itself is unchanged.
1.0.0
- First release: the DigiTeam mods in this category combined into one, with an on/off switch per mod at the top of the settings.
