Crafting and Automation

Stations that run themselves from your chests, timers for fermenters and sap, faster crafting, recycling, better food from your Cooking skill and a cookbook of every food.

12 mods in one: Auto Processing, Auto Oven, Auto Fermenter, Fermenter Timer, Sap Timer, Craft Batch, Shift Fill From Storage, Recycle Tab, Auto Repair, Restyle Items, Cooking Mastery, Cookbook.

Every mod in detail, with all its settings: see the Wiki tab.

How it works

  • Open the settings (F1). At the top, 0 - Sub-mods has a switch for every mod in this pack: turn on only what you want. Switching one off removes it right away, no restart.
  • Below that, every mod has its own settings, under its name.
  • F1 needs a config manager mod, e.g. ConfigurationManager by shudnal (included in Digi Modpack). Without one the mods still run with their default settings, and you can change the settings in r2modman: Config editor → digi.valheim.crafting.cfg.
  • Upgrading from the separate DigiTeam mods: your settings are copied over automatically the first time. Remove the separate ones (a mod that is still installed separately is skipped here).

Mods

Auto Processing

Smelters, kilns, spinning wheels, eitr refineries and windmills fill themselves from nearby chests and store their output; sap extractors and beehives too.

  • Ore, wood, flax, soft tissue and barley are topped up from chests in range; coal and sap are added as needed.
  • The output goes into a chest that already holds it, or the nearest one with room.
  • Bigger capacity (furnaces 50 ore / 100 coal, kiln 100 wood) and a speed setting per station.
  • Sap extractors store their sap in a chest too, so they never fill up and stop. Shift+E adds as much as fits.
  • Beehives and birds' nests too: honey and feathers into a chest, twice as fast, any biome, no room needed, and the time to the next one (replaces HoneyPlease).

Auto Oven

Ovens fill, fuel and empty themselves using nearby chests.

  • Finished food goes into a nearby chest, with the same Cooking XP and bonus chance as by hand.
  • Empty slots are filled with bread dough, uncooked pies and more from nearby chests.
  • Wood is topped up only while something is baking.

Auto Fermenter

Fermenters refill with mead base and tap finished mead into a chest by themselves.

  • Finished mead is tapped into a chest that already holds it, or the nearest one with room.
  • An empty barrel is refilled with a mead base from a nearby chest.

Fermenter Timer

Shows how long a fermenter still needs and what it will give.

  • Aim at a barrel to see Ready in 23:41 and what it will give, e.g. 6x Major healing mead.
  • Warns in orange when the barrel has no roof (the game restarts the timer then).

Sap Timer

Shows how much sap an ancient root holds and when a sap extractor collects its next sap.

  • Ancient root: how much sap it holds (23 / 50), how fast it regrows and when it is full again.
  • Sap extractor: when the next sap comes and how much is left in its root.
  • Tip: one extractor per root already collects everything the root regrows.

Craft Batch

Ctrl+Shift+Craft makes 20 at once.

  • Shift+Craft still makes 5 like vanilla. Both amounts and the key are adjustable.
  • Cost, output and skill XP scale together; the button shows x 20 while you hold the keys.
  • Works with Local Craft From Storage.

Shift Fill From Storage

Needs Local Craft From Storage Prime.

Shift-fill smelters and fermenters straight from nearby chests.

  • Shift + use on a smelter, kiln or furnace keeps filling it from nearby chests until it is full.
  • An empty fermenter takes a mead base from a nearby chest when you carry none.
  • Works together with Auto Processing's Shift+E.

Recycle Tab

A Recycle tab at crafting stations to get materials back from items you don't need.

  • Lists the items in your inventory that the station can make. Recycling returns their materials (all of them by default, adjustable) and lowers the quality by one.
  • Enchantments (Epic Loot) and the crafter name are kept on a downgrade.
  • Equipped and hotbar items are hidden by default and need a confirmation.

Auto Repair

Opening a crafting station repairs all your gear at once.

  • Repairs everything the station can repair, including what you wear, with one sound and one message.
  • Same rules and the same Crafting XP as repairing each item by hand.

Restyle Items

Change the style of an item you already own at a station.

  • At a station that can craft the item, hover over it and press R to pick another style.
  • Free; quality, durability and enchantments are kept. Works in your inventory, chests and backpacks.

Cooking Mastery

Your Cooking skill makes all food stronger and longer lasting.

  • Food gives more health, stamina, eitr and healing and lasts longer: up to +50% at Cooking 100 (adjustable).
  • Cooking XP x5, and making food at any station trains Cooking too.
  • Tooltips show the bonus (40 +10). Optional: food keeps its full strength until it runs out.

Cookbook

Press K for a book of every food you found: stats, where it is made and from what, sortable.

  • Health, stamina, eitr, duration and healing of every food, modded food included.
  • Where and how each food is made, with the ingredients as icons (oven food shows the unbaked step too).
  • Sort by any column, group by type or station, and show undiscovered food greyed out.
  • With Cooking Mastery, your skill bonus is shown next to each value.

Notes

  • Mods that need another mod only start when that mod is installed; the rest work without it.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

1.0.3

  • Auto Processing does beehives and birds' nests now (replaces HoneyPlease): honey and feathers into a nearby chest (within 20 m), twice as fast, any biome, no room needed, and the time to the next one when you aim at a hive or nest. Safer than HoneyPlease: only chests nobody has open, no carts, ships or other players' private chests, and the game's [E] line stays. Each has its own settings: 9 - Beehives and 9 - Bird nests.
  • Extracting a beehive or nest by hand drops its contents as whole stacks instead of a tower of single items that scattered around.
  • The "Beehive max honey" setting works again (HoneyPlease used to overwrite it).
  • Sap extractors and beehives with no room in any chest wait 30 seconds before trying again.

1.0.2

  • A mod that is installed twice (on its own and inside this combined mod) now shows a message in the main menu, so you know to remove the separate one. Before, only the log said so.
  • Fixed: some separate mods were not noticed, so both copies ran at the same time. Now the copy in the combined mod always stays off until the separate one is removed.

1.0.1

  • Mod page: a short section for every mod, a link to the new wiki (every mod in detail, with all its settings), and a note that F1 needs a config manager mod (e.g. ConfigurationManager by shudnal). The mod itself is unchanged.

1.0.0

  • First release: the DigiTeam mods in this category combined into one, with an on/off switch per mod at the top of the settings.
