README

NaturalDay

Longer, natural day/night cycle for Valheim. The vanilla 70% day / 30% night split is kept; only the total length changes.

Setting

Section 2 - Cycle, entry Durée du cycle (minutes): 30, 40, 50, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Default 50. 30 is vanilla.

Multiplayer

  • The mod is required on every client and on the server.
  • Only the server (or an admin) sets the length; clients cannot override it.

Changing the length

  • Changing the length keeps the current day and time of day.
  • If the cycle gets shorter, the time of day is kept and the day counter goes up.
  • Uninstalling the mod makes the day counter jump, because Valheim computes day and time from the world time.

Clock

Optional on-screen clock, section 3 - Horloge, entry Afficher. This is a local setting.

CHANGELOG

0.1.1

  • Detailed README in English and French.
  • README now recommends a configuration manager (shudnal ConfigurationManager) for in-game settings (F1).
  • No gameplay change; the DLL is identical to 0.1.0.

0.1.0

  • First release.
  • Longer day/night cycle (30, 40, 50, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, default 50) with the vanilla 70% day / 30% night split.
  • Changing the length keeps the current day and time of day; a shortened cycle keeps the time and raises the day counter.
  • The length is server-enforced (ServerSync); the server or an admin sets it.
  • Optional on-screen clock (local setting).
