This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured with the correct entry point for mods and preferred defaults for the community.
Preferred version: 5.4.2351README

VargheimPins
Ink-drawn map pins, a glyph picker and readable pin names for the big map. Client-side; the server does not need it.

Features
- 24 pin glyphs drawn as ink on the parchment: copper, tin, silver, stone, raspberries, blueberries, mushrooms, thistle, shipwreck, burial chamber, cave, troll cave, sunken crypt, frost cave, infested mine, tar pit, portal, base, boat landing, point of interest, danger, bear, fish, sea monster. Each maps to a vanilla pin type, so the map's filter boxes still work.
- Picker on the big map, left of the vanilla icon column: click a glyph (it glows), double-click the map, the name box is pre-filled with the label — clear it for a nameless pin. Which glyph a pin has is saved on your character and restored on relog.
- Pin names show when you zoom in or hover a pin; names that would overlap are thinned (hovered and checked pins win).
- Player colours: every other player's map marker and name gets its own colour, stable per name and the same on every client (
[Players]). VargheimHUD's compass uses the same colours. - Labels → glyphs: a pin named "Troll cave", "Sunken crypt", "Portal", "Copper"… gets the matching glyph, including VargheimExploration's Landmark Sense pins.
- Auto-pins (
[AutoPins] Enabled, off by default): dungeons, caves, tar pits and the trader get a pin when you walk up to them.
Install
- Gale / r2modman / Thunderstore app: install like any mod; it comes with the Vargheim Season 2 profile (Gale Sync code
08U6EX). - Manual: drop the package contents into
BepInEx/plugins/Ghost_Pack-VargheimPins/— keep the PNG files next to the DLL (the art is loaded from beside the DLL).
Config
BepInEx/config/digi.vargheim.pins.cfg — [Pins] Ink colour, PinScale, LabelIcons; [Picker] Columns, Scale, OffsetX/Y; [Names] ShowZoom; [Players] Colors, Palette; [AutoPins].
Compatibility
VargheimExploration (its extra icon columns are switched off; this picker replaces them), VargheimHUD (compass markers), Groups (player colours applied after it). Needs BepInEx 5.4.2351.
Changelog
- 0.1.6 — icon and README (no code change).
- 0.1.5 — beehive → shipwreck, trader → point-of-interest marker (pins saved as the old two show vanilla icons; re-place them).

[Players] Colors: per-player marker and name colours. - 0.1.2 — glyphs restored on saved pins once the character is in (relog fix); picker clear of the bar's mouse-button hints.
