VitalityRewrite Deep North
By running, swimming, jumping, mining, woodcutting and not dying ;) you can increase your Vitality skill, which improves many base attributes of your character.
VitalityRewrite Deep North is an actively-maintained rebuild of Gra-tak's VitalityRewrite, built specifically for Valheim Deep North (1.0.x). Gra-tak's public build is Ashlands-era and crashes on Deep North; this fork fixes that and is kept in working order.
Why a new name? This is a distinct package with its own plugin identifier (
ronkisbonkis.vitalityrewrite.deepnorth), so it installs alongside the old package without conflict and is immediately identifiable as the working Deep North build.
Effects
The Vitality skill scales the following:
- Increased maximum health
- Increased maximum stamina
- Increased maximum eitr (only if you already have positive eitr)
- Decreased health regeneration timer
- Increased base stamina regeneration
- Increased base eitr regeneration

- Jump and swim stamina cost reduction
- Walking and running speed

Changelog
1.2.7 — New Norse emblem icon
- Replaced the old red-heart package icon with a new viking/nordic vitality emblem (bronze valknut inside a Norse knotwork ring, teal patina accents, faint green-gold life-energy glow) rendered at the required 256×256.
- No gameplay changes in this release — icon/asset update only.
1.2.6 — VitalityRewrite Deep North (new identity)
- Rebranded & re-identified as a distinct package under a new plugin identifier (
ronkisbonkis.vitalityrewrite.deepnorth), so it installs alongside the old Gra-tak package without BepInEx GUID conflicts. - Deep North (Valheim 1.0.x) compatibility fix carried over and retained. Valheim Deep North removed the old 12-arg
Terminal.ConsoleCommandconstructor used to register thevitalityrewriteconsole command. This caused aMissingMethodExceptionat startup (duringConsole.Awake), repeated "See text" UI spam, and a lockup at the main menu. The command is now registered via the current 13-argTerminal.ConsoleCommand(ConsoleEvent)overload. - Rebuilt from source against the real Deep North publicized assembly.
1.2.5 — internal Deep North fix (source history)
The one-line Terminal.ConsoleCommand fix was prepared here; folded into the 1.2.6 public release.
