Mod Configs
Change any client-side mod's config in-game with a UI that matches the native Settings panel. Browse and edit BepInEx plugin .cfg settings without leaving the game or alt-tabbing to edit files by hand.
Edits save to your local .cfg files. No server install is required for Mod Configs itself. When a mod uses ServerSync (or tags settings with ReadOnly / IsAdminOnly), this UI shows the current values after sync and disables editing while those settings are locked — so clients display what the server enforced without overwriting it locally.
- Wood-panel Settings-style window (toggles, sliders, steppers, dropdowns, keybind rebind)
- Dynamically lists BepInEx configs from loaded plugins
- CFG description text above each option
- Reset to Defaults for the selected mod (skips read-only / server-locked entries)
- Global presets 1-5 (tabs on the left) that store every mod's settings at once; the bottom Save button fills the active one
- Presets 1-5 per mod with Delete / Save and an active-preset marker
- Name and describe any preset (right-click it)
- Open from the pause menu (after Settings); optional main-menu button

-
Install BepInExPack Valheim if you do not already have it.
-
Extract the zip.
-
Copy files into:
Valheim\BepInEx\plugins\ModdedWolf-ModConfigs\The folder should contain
ModConfigs.dll,manifest.json,icon.png, andREADME.md.Prefer the Thunderstore / r2modman package folder name (

Configuration
After first launch, settings are saved here:
BepInEx\config\ModdedWolf.ModConfigs.cfg

OK and Cancel
Changes take effect in game right away so you can try them out.
- OK closes Mod Configs and keeps your changes.
- Cancel (or Escape) closes it and puts every mod's settings back to how they were when you opened it. Presets you saved meanwhile are kept.
Presets
There are two kinds of presets. Hover the i icon in-game for a quick guide.
Global presets are the 5 tabs down the left side of the panel. Each one stores the settings of every mod.
- Click a tab to load it for all mods. Grey tabs are empty; clicking one just makes it active.
- Save (under Preset 5) stores every mod's current settings in the active tab and writes all config files. The panel stays open.
- Delete (under Save) clears the active tab's stored preset, including its name and description (click it twice to confirm). Your current settings are not changed. Turn on
KeepGlobalPresetLabelto keep the name and description. - A
*on the active tab means something changed since it was saved. - Right-click a tab to give it a name (20 characters) and a short description (shown when you hover it).
Mod presets are the 5 slots in the row under the mod picker. They store only the selected mod. Right-click a slot to name and describe it.
- Click a number to load that preset. It becomes the active preset (gold frame).
- Changes apply right away but are not stored in the preset until you press Save. A
*on the active slot means unsaved changes. - Grey numbers are empty. Clicking one makes it active without changing anything; press Save to fill it.
- Click the active preset again to discard your changes and reload it.
- Delete clears the active preset. Click it twice to confirm (it shows Confirm? for 3 seconds).
Mod presets are stored in BepInEx\config\ModdedWolf.ModConfigs.Presets\<mod GUID>.txt and global presets in _Global.txt in the same folder. Read-only / server-locked settings are skipped on save and load.
Compatible with BepInEx Configuration Manager attributes (Browsable, IsAdvanced, ReadOnly, IsAdminOnly, etc.). ServerSync-driven ReadOnly locks are respected in the UI.
Notes
Mod Configs does not sync settings by itself. It edits local .cfg files. Mods that use ServerSync (or similar) push server values into those entries; when a setting is marked read-only, this UI displays it but will not save local overrides.
