This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured with the correct entry point for mods and preferred defaults for the community.
Preferred version: 5.4.2351MysixValheimMods-MySix_Core
Needed by every other MySix mod. Adds the mysix console command to see and change settings in game, keeps settings in the world save so a world plays the same on any computer or server, and gives dedicated servers restarts that warn everyone first.
Preferred version: 1.0.17README
MySix ModsNotCheating
Having mods installed no longer stops you earning achievements.
- The problem: Valheim switches achievements off for anyone with a mod installed, as if they had cheated. With this installed it does not, and achievements unlock as they would in the unmodded game.
- Everything else the game counts as cheating still counts: using dev commands, carrying spawned items, or playing a world with cheat modifiers. This only stops mods themselves from being held against you.
- Nothing on your character is changed: being modded is never saved to a character, so once this is installed your achievements simply work again.
- On as soon as it is installed. If you would rather not have it, uninstall it, or set
ModsNotCheating.Enabledtofalse.
Part of the MySix mod suite. Every mod in the suite needs MySix Core, which adds the
in-game mysix command for reading and changing settings. On a server, settings are owned by
the server: an admin changes a value once and every connected player picks it up.
Installing
Install with a mod manager - the Thunderstore Mod Manager, Gale and r2modman all work - or unzip
the DLL into BepInEx/plugins yourself. Everyone playing together should run the same versions.
Settings
The Settings wiki page lists this mod's one setting: what each does, its choices and default, who can change it, and the exact command to type. In short: press F5 in game to open the console and type mysix to list every setting, mysix set <setting> <value> to change one.
Languages
Every MySix mod supports all the languages Valheim offers: whatever language you play the game in, the text these mods show is in that language too. Abenaki is the one exception for now - there it shows in English, as we could not find a translation we trust. We mainly test in English, but we will do our best to support every language the game supports; if something reads wrong in yours, please let us know.
Note on achievements
Valheim switches achievements off for anyone with a mod installed. MySix Mods Not Cheating, part of the MySix bundle, keeps them working.
Version 1.0.4. The Changelog tab lists what changed in each release.
CHANGELOG
Changelog - Mods Not Cheating
What changed in Mods Not Cheating, newest release first. Each MySix mod has its own version number, and only a release that changed Mods Not Cheating is listed here.
1.0.0
- New: achievements work again with mods installed. Valheim treats having any mod installed as cheating and switches achievements off. This stops mods themselves counting, and nothing else: dev commands, spawned items and worlds with cheat modifiers still count exactly as before. It changes nothing on your character, because being modded was never saved to one.
