AbsoluteMusic
by Njat Atmospheric soundtrack replacement for Valheim, featuring Nordic dark folk, metal, and dark cinematic music.
The songs come from a wide range of genres and artists, but every track was chosen because it fits its setting exceptionally well. I only kept the normal biome music strictly within the folk/Nordic style; the other categories have some deliberate exceptions — especially the Swamp and Mountain — and you'll understand why when you hear them.
What This Mod Does
AbsoluteMusic replaces Valheim's vanilla soundtrack with a custom soundtrack carefully organized around different gameplay situations.
Music is divided into categories such as:
- Biomes
- Bosses
- Combat
- Sailing
- Home
- Morning
- Evening
- Menu
- Other gameplay situations
Each category can contain multiple tracks, allowing the game to randomly select music from the available tracks.

- BepInExPack Valheim
CustomAudio LocationMusic is required to load and replace Valheim's music.
Installation
r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager
Recommended
- Install AbsoluteMusic through r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager.
- Make sure CustomAudio LocationMusic is installed as a dependency.
- Launch Valheim through your mod manager.
- The soundtrack will load automatically.
Manual Installation

Install BepInExPack Valheim.

Install CustomAudio LocationMusic.

Extract the contents of the AbsoluteMusic package into your Valheim installation directory.

The music files should be located under:
Valheim\BepInEx\plugins\AbsoluteMusic\CustomAudio\Music\ -
Launch Valheim with BepInEx installed.

The custom soundtrack will load automatically.
Compatibility
AbsoluteMusic is designed to work with Valheim using CustomAudio LocationMusic.
The soundtrack is client-side. Other players will not automatically hear the custom music unless they also install the mod.
