Forge of Potential Safe

A small BepInEx plugin for Valheim 1.0 that changes the Forge of Potential refinement roll so that the refinement succeeds and the item is not destroyed.

Features

• 100% refinement success chance.
• 0% item destruction chance.
• Uses an IL patch on InventoryGui.DoCrafting().
• Tested on Valheim 1.0.12 with BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2350.

Installation

Install through Thunderstore Mod Manager / r2modman, or install manually:

1. Install BepInExPack Valheim.
2. Extract this package into the Valheim game directory.
3. The plugin DLL should end up in BepInEx/plugins/.
4. Start Valheim with BepInEx.

Configuration

After the first launch, BepInEx creates:

BepInEx/config/outsider.valheim.forgeofpotentialsafe.cfg

Default values:

• Enabled = true
• SuccessChance = 1.0
• BreakChance = 0.0

SuccessChance and BreakChance use values from 0.0 to 1.0.

Compatibility

This release was tested on Valheim 1.0.12. Because the plugin patches game IL, a future Valheim update may require a new plugin version.

Check BepInEx/LogOutput.log for the plugin startup message and patch status.
