Features

Every feature can be switched off on its own. Server means the server's settings apply to everyone (players can't change them); Player means each player chooses for themselves.

Playing

Feature What it does Set by
Farther camera zoom Zoom out to 12 m on land (game: 8 m) and 24 m on a ship. Player
Dropped items last 3 hours Dropped items last 3 hours of world time instead of 1, so loot dropped before a night's sleep survives it. Items in a base, near a player, in tar or part of a build still never disappear. Server
Take apart ships and carts Hold Ctrl and use the hammer's remove button (middle mouse) on a raft, karve, longship, drakkar or cart. Every material is refunded and cargo drops in crates. Normal rules still apply: workbench in range, no ward or no-build zone, nobody aboard a raft. Server
Tombstone retrieval Type retrievetomb (or gettomb) in the F5 console, or /retrievetomb in chat, to bring your own tombstones to where you stand. They stay put after the move. Server
Cancel an attack into a block Press block during a swing's windup or recovery to drop the attack and raise your guard at once. A hit the swing hasn't reached never lands; stamina already spent stays spent; you can't attack faster this way. Server
Spearfishing Throw a spear or shoot an arrow or bolt at a fish in the water to catch it: it floats up to be picked up. A harpoon pulls it straight into your inventory. Modded spears, bows and crossbows work too. Server
Double dragon bed Each half of the dragon bed is its own bed: two players can claim it, sleep side by side and respawn on their own half. Blankets roll over the sleepers. Server and every player alike (blankets: Player)
Trophy pity Every kill without a trophy makes that creature's next trophy more likely, until it drops. In multiplayer each kill counts for the player who made it, even when the creature is run by another player's game. The Trophies tab shows each trophy's next chance and, spoiler-free, the trophies you haven't collected yet. Server (Trophies tab: Player)
Quality of life Tombstone items go back to the slots they had when you died; no auto-equip when walking over weapons and tools; the hammer menu updates live; health bars show while holding the hammer and stay visible through mist, trees and buildings in a fight; taming progress shows from health-bar range; with Equipment & Quick Slots, V no longer switches auto-pickup off by accident. Player
Inventory Slots Visibility No inventory slot stays hidden. When mods add slots (equipment, quick slots, quiver, backpack, extra rows) and a window ends up over them or past the screen edge, that window moves just enough to show them, at any resolution from 16:9 to 32:9 ultrawide and any GUI scale, and moves back when no longer in the way. Lightweight: it only checks when the inventory's layout changes. Each move is noted once in the log. Player
Wisplight upgrades The Wisplight can be upgraded at the workbench up to level 5; each level clears more mist around its wisp (about 10 m at level 1, the game's own, up to about 30 m at level 5). Upgrades cost wisps and silver. Everyone sees the same clearing, wisp torches are left alone, and Epic Loot's wisp range enchantment still adds on top. Server
Item stands Any item goes on item stands, not only trophies and gear, and keeps its quality and enchantments. Look at a stand and use itemstand_scale, itemstand_rotation or itemstand_offset in the F5 console to resize, turn or move the item (within limits, not in other players' wards); itemstand_hide hides the stand itself. Server (hiding, closer to the wall: Player)
Status effect icons Status effect icons stay where the game puts them, beside the minimap, without their names (which get cut short). The time left, or the comfort level while resting, still shows on each icon. Can be switched off. Player
Remove death markers A button by the skull icon on the large map removes every death marker at once (click twice to confirm). Your own pins and other icons stay. Player
Farming, swimming and sneaking Tamed animals don't trample crops; the Swim skill raises swim speed (up to +25%); the Sneak skill raises sneak speed (up to jogging speed at level 100, but quiet). Server
Sleeping The night is skipped once half the players are in bed or emoting (sitting, or standing still after any emote), with at least one in bed. Only they sleep through it; everyone else keeps playing. Until then, everyone sees how many more are needed. Server
Comfort helper A Comfort tab in the build menu lists every comfort piece by group (only the best of each group within 10 m counts), with check marks on what's nearby. Comfort pieces say what they'd add where you stand, a message when you start resting names the best pieces to add, and /comfort in chat lists them all. Player

World and economy

All of these start at the game's normal values, except cart and boat health and the inventory rows.

Feature What it does Set by
Skill loss and XP How much of each skill is lost on death (0 = nothing, 1 = normal) and an XP multiplier per skill (up to 10). Server
Loot and items Multipliers for creature, resource and pickable drops (trophies only if you want); item weight; stack size; auto-pickup range; items that float in water. Weight and stack size apply to every copy of an item, crafted, carried or dropped. Server
Essence for everyone Thunderblood and Frostfire essence always drop from the creatures that carry them, one for each player who was nearby when the creature appeared. Server
Recycling With a crafting station open, Ctrl + right-click an item in your inventory to take it apart at the station it's made at and get half its materials back (upgrades included). The tooltip shows what you'd get, and a key hint shows at the bottom of the screen. Enchanted items and hotbar items ask first. Server (key, hotbar prompt: Player)
Smelters, fermenters and stations Smelter, kiln and furnace capacity, speed, fuel use and output; fermenter speed and output; crafting station build range. Server
Carts and boats Carts and boats get more health the higher their builder's Crafting skill: carts up to +400%, boats up to +100%. Server
Map How far around you the map is revealed as you explore. Server
Inventory rows Haldor's two inventory rows unlock after the Elder and Bonemass instead of Moder and the Queen, and he sells a third, Roomier pockets, after Yagluth for 3,000 coins. Each is bought once per character. Server

Looks

Feature What it does Set by
Visual effects Sliders for the glow on gear upgraded past its max level, the dust from felling trees, and the particles that cover creatures in a fight (fainter, darker or smaller, so you can see attacks coming). With Epic Loot: hide the Glowing aura, all enchantment effects or legendary textures. Only changes what you see. Player

Fixes

Feature What it does Set by
Game bug fixes Fast second bow shots no longer vanish; swings from a ship's deck hit what's on the deck; a broken fuling shaman shield stops blocking arrows; plants no longer stop growing after a lag spike; long buried ore veins keep their support; overdue berry bushes regrow as soon as someone is near. Every game alike (restart after changing)
Sorting with Equipment & Quick Slots With Quick Stack - Store - Sort - Trash - Restock installed, sorting, quick stacking and storing no longer move items in or out of Equipment and Quick Slots' slots (Z, V, B and the equipment slots). Restock can still top up quick slots. Automatic

Epic Loot

Only with Epic Loot installed; without it these simply stay off.

Feature What it does Set by
Bounty fixes Bounties complete when the main target dies (minions optional); new bounties spread out instead of piling onto the same spots; targets that stood still while the ground's pathing loaded now come at you; the main target drops one extra copy of each enchanted item and always at least one; targets get a small overhead health bar. With StarLevelSystem, targets keep their extra health after reloading and scale with stars like normal creatures. Server (health bar: Player)
Enchantment fixes Riches gives treasure at its stated chance; Fire Rate speeds up bows, crossbows and staffs; Noise reduces noise by its percentage; +Ranged Skills raises Bows and Crossbows; Meads Cooldown works with Instant Mead; Indestructible armor stops wearing down; Bountiful Harvest works on other players' plants; Quick Draw no longer slows crossbow reloads; Air Jump isn't wasted just above the ground. Every game alike (restart after changing)
Enchanting table Takes its costs from built chests within 50 m that you can open, and the Sacrifice tab can list trophies and shardstones from them (checkboxes in the tab). The double-output chance is rolled per sacrificed item instead of all or nothing. Server (chest lists: Player)
Enchantments and shards Damage enchantments can roll together on one weapon; Double Magic Shot and Triple Shot cost the normal eitr or stamina, and Double Magic Shot doubles a summoning staff's limit; shardstones can be socketed even when their effect clashes with one the item has; Lucky Loot works on birds. Server
Messages and tooltips A message when Lucky Loot triggers near you; enchanted staffs show their eitr cost; Epic Loot no longer goes through every chest's items each second when nothing changed. Player

Requirements

  • BepInExPack Valheim
  • Jotunn

Install on the server and every player's game. Players without the mod can't join a server that has it.

Not compatible with EpicLoot Progression Fix, which already contains the camera, dropped-item, ship and cart, attack-cancel, bounty and bug-fix features. Potato Tweaks will not load next to it.

Epic Loot and StarLevelSystem are optional. Without Epic Loot the Epic Loot features simply stay off.

Can replace the Tomb Retriever, SkillLoss, Double Dragon Bed, Dimmer Combat Particle Effects, TrophyAssister, Spearfishing, Epic Loot Add-ons, DropMoreLoot, EssenceForAll and ComfortHelper mods. None of them is needed. If one is installed, Potato Tweaks leaves that feature to it and writes a warning in the log; remove it to use Potato Tweaks' version. When switching, Potato Tweaks copies the old mod's settings (and TrophyAssister's pity counts) on first launch if their files are still in the config folder.

Installation

r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager / Gale

  • Install Potato Tweaks from the mod list. Jotunn and BepInEx are installed with it.

Manual

  1. Install BepInExPack Valheim and Jotunn.
  2. Copy plugins/PotatoTweaks.dll from the download into BepInEx/plugins/PotatoTweaks/.

Dedicated server

  • Copy PotatoTweaks.dll into the server's BepInEx/plugins/PotatoTweaks/ and restart the server.

Configuration

BepInEx/config/potato.tweaks.cfg, created on first launch. Also editable in game with a configuration manager (F1). Server settings are marked [Synced with Server]: set them in the server's file, and every player gets them on joining.

23 - Inventory rows Haldor's two extra rows unlock after the Elder (1,000 coins) and Bonemass (2,000) instead of Moder and the Queen. He also sells a third row after Yagluth for 3,000 (price and boss adjustable). Each is bought once per character. Server
24 - Sleeping Share of players needed to skip the night (50%); who counts besides players in bed (any emote, sitting only, or beds only); players in bed needed first (1). 100% and beds only = the game's normal. Server
25 - Item stands Which items are allowed (all, items with a stand model, or the game's normal); which stands; whether players can adjust items, and the largest move (2 m) and size (5x); default adjustments per item; simple models for items that look wrong. Server
Hide stands holding an item; items closer to the wall. Player
26 - Wisplight Upgrade levels (5; 1 = the game's normal); extra clearing per level (5 m); wisps, silver and eitr per upgrade (5, 10, 0), rising with the level like the game's upgrade costs. Server
27 - Comfort Comfort tab (and its name), check marks in every tab, comfort in piece descriptions, message when resting (every 10 minutes at most, 4 pieces). Player
28 - Recycling On; materials returned (50%); upgrades count (on). Server
Recycle key (Left Ctrl); confirm hotbar items (on). Player

Trophy pity counts are kept per character in BepInEx/config/potato.tweaks.trophies.txt.

The skill settings start at the game's normal values: normal death loss and 1× XP for every skill. Change them on the server; players always use the server's values.

Only if you are switching from the SkillLoss mod: on first launch, Potato Tweaks copies your old values from Mirfin.SkillLoss.cfg when that file is in the config folder. Without that file nothing is copied and the normal values are used.

If a Valheim update changes the game code a feature relies on, that feature switches itself off and writes the reason to the BepInEx log. The other features keep working.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

1.5.11

  • Serving tray: set-out foods now steam like the game's own dishes instead of sparkling like a dropped item.
  • Fix: with Epic Loot, set-out dishes (the game's own too) said "Pick up" instead of "Eat" or "Drink". Pressing it already ate the dish; now the prompt says so.
  • 1.5.x players can play together.

1.5.10

  • Serving tray (section 29, server, on): the serving tray can now set out every crafted food that has no place on it yet, vanilla dishes and mod foods alike (OdinHorse, Wizardry and others). Like the game's own dishes, each is one item placed as is, eaten and gone. Raw food and food from the cooking station are left out. Feasts are unchanged. If the food tab would go past the build menu's 90 slots, the rest go on a "More food" tab.
  • Windmills (section 12, server): windmills now mill twice as fast. New settings for windmill speed, flour capacity, output, and a minimum wind so they never stop completely (off by default).
  • 1.5.x players can play together. Everyone needs 1.5.10 to place the new foods.

1.5.9

  • Quiver back on after death: with Better Archery and Equipment and Quick Slots, the quiver you wore when you died is put back on when you recover your own grave, so its arrows return to its three slots instead of filling the Z, V and B quick slots. Part of "Tombstone items back in their slots" (section 11).
  • 1.5.x players can play together.

1.5.8

  • Recycling (section 28, server, on): with a crafting station open, Ctrl + right-click an item in your inventory to take it apart at the station it's made at and get half of its materials back, upgrades included (at least one of the main material). Items made by hand are recycled with just the inventory open. The tooltip shows what you'd get, and a "Ctrl + Right click: Recycle" hint joins the game's key hints at the bottom of the screen while a station is open. Enchanted items warn first that the enchantment is lost; items on your hotbar ask first (personal setting). Equipped items, food and potions can't be recycled.
  • 1.5.x players can play together. Each player's game does its own recycling, with the server's settings.

1.5.7

  • Trophy pity in multiplayer: a kill now counts for the player who made it (or whose tames or summons made it), even when the creature is run by another player's game. Before, only the game running the creature rolled pity, so many kills didn't count. That game now rolls the trophy with the killer's dry kills, and the killer's game counts the kill.
  • "Only count my kills" off no longer counts other players' kills for you; they count for them. Kills with no player behind them count for the player whose game runs the creature.
  • Essence for everyone (section 22, server, on): Thunderblood and Frostfire essence always drop from the creatures that carry them, one for each player who was within 200 m when the creature appeared (stars still add the game's extra). The creature drop multiplier leaves them alone. Replaces Koen-H's EssenceForAll.
  • Comfort helper (section 27, personal, on): a Comfort tab in the build menu with every comfort piece by group and check marks on what's nearby, comfort in piece descriptions, a message when you start resting with the best pieces to add, and /comfort in chat. Replaces Koen-H's ComfortHelper.
  • Trophy pity now also works on creatures whose drops Star Level System replaces (by default the Abomination, Oozer, Brute Bros and Tick).
  • 1.5.x players can play together. Players on older versions still get their trophies and essences, but their kills only count when their own game runs the creature, and essences only drop one per player when the game running the creature has 1.5.7.

1.5.6

  • Fix: with a status effect that has no timer (shelter, warmth), the HUD stopped updating: door and other hover prompts didn't show, and the build health bar stayed on screen. Fixed.
  • Status effect icons are back in the game's own place beside the minimap, as icons with their timers and no names. New setting in section 11, "Hide status effect names" (on); switch it off to see the names again. The icon size, timer size and gap settings are gone.
  • 1.5.x players can play together.

1.5.5

  • Sorting fix: with Quick Stack - Store - Sort - Trash - Restock, sorting, quick stacking and storing no longer move items in or out of Equipment and Quick Slots' slots (Z, V, B and the equipment slots).
  • Potato Tweaks now reliably notices the original Item Stand All Items or Better Wisps if installed, and keeps its own version off.
  • 1.5.x players can play together.

1.5.4

  • Status effect icons: no more names, which got cut short. Status effects now show as bigger icons in rows under the minimap, each with its time left under it. New settings: icon size (48), timer text size (18) and gap between icons (8).
  • 1.5.x players can play together.

1.5.3

  • Remove death markers (section 16, personal, on): a button by the skull icon on the large map removes every death marker at once. Click it twice to confirm. Your own pins and other icons stay.
  • Sleeping (section 24, server): the night is skipped once half the players are in bed or emoting (sitting, or standing still after any emote), with at least one in bed. Only they sleep through it; everyone else keeps playing. Until then, everyone sees how many more are needed.
  • Status effect list (section 11, personal, on): status effects show as a compact list under the minimap, one per line with name and time left. Fits any screen size; while sailing, the wind and speed indicators move aside if needed.
  • Item stands (section 25, server): any item goes on item stands. Look at a stand and use itemstand_scale, itemstand_rotation, itemstand_offset or itemstand_hide in the F5 console to adjust it. Replaces Item Stand All Items; stands adjusted with it keep their adjustments.
  • Sneak speed (section 11, server): sneaking gets faster with the Sneak skill, up to jogging speed (2 m/s to 4 m/s) at level 100. Not while over-encumbered.
  • Wisplight upgrades (section 26, server): the Wisplight can be upgraded at the workbench up to level 5, each level clearing 5 m more mist (about 10 m to 30 m). Upgrades cost wisps and silver. Wisp torches are left alone; Epic Loot's wisp range enchantment still adds on top.
  • 1.5.x players can play together. The server needs 1.5.3 for the sleep vote, item stand settings, sneak speed and Wisplight upgrades.

1.5.2

  • Clearer settings table on the mod page: each section says what its settings do.
  • Code cleanup. No gameplay changes; 1.5.x players can play together.

1.5.1

  • Inventory rows (section 23, server): Haldor's two inventory rows unlock after the Elder and Bonemass instead of Moder and the Queen, and he sells a third, Roomier pockets, after Yagluth for 3,000 coins. Bought once per character.
  • Inventory Slots Visibility (section 11, personal, on): no inventory slot stays hidden. When a window covers mod-added slots (equipment, quick slots, quiver, backpack, extra rows) or pushes them past the screen edge, that window moves just enough to show them, at any resolution and aspect ratio, ultrawide included, and moves back when no longer needed. Checks only when the inventory's layout changes. Each move is noted once in the log.
  • 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 players can play together; update to get the new inventory rows at Haldor.

1.5.0 — update needed

  • Loot and items (section 22, server): multipliers for creature, resource (trees, rocks, ore, destroyed objects, dungeon loot) and pickable drops, item weight, stack size, auto-pickup range and items that float in water. Replaces DropMoreLoot (its settings carry over), now set by the server for everyone:
    • The game's own drop rules (stars, world modifiers) stay in charge; only the result is multiplied. Items dropped once per player and Hildir's quest chests aren't multiplied; trophies only if you turn that on.
    • Weight and stack size apply to every copy of an item, so crafted items and items loaded with your character are lighter and stack higher too, not only items picked up from the ground.
    • Fractions work: 1.5 gives one and a half times as much on average.
  • Reorganized mod page.
  • The mod page links a ready-made common.sell.csv with the trader sell prices for servers running Traders Extended; both links explain themselves when you hover over them.
  • Everyone, including the server, needs 1.5.0; 1.4.x can't join a 1.5.0 server.

1.4.1

  • The mod page links to the Potato Server's trader sell prices: a searchable list of what the traders pay for every item. No changes to the mod itself; you don't need to update from 1.4.0, and 1.4.0 and 1.4.1 players can play together.

1.4.0 — update needed

  • Spearfishing (section 19, server): catch fish with spears, harpoons, bows and crossbows. A hit fish floats up to be picked up; a harpoon pulls it straight into your inventory. Modded spears, bows and crossbows count too. Ported from Spearfishing.
  • Epic Loot enchanting table (section 20, only with Epic Loot):
    • The table takes its costs from built chests within 50 m that you can open and nobody else has open (server).
    • The Sacrifice tab can list trophies and shardstones from those chests, with checkboxes in the tab (personal).
    • The double-output chance is rolled per sacrificed item instead of all or nothing (server).
  • Epic Loot enchantments (section 21, only with Epic Loot):
    • Damage enchantments can roll together on one weapon; Double Magic Shot and Triple Shot keep their odds (server).
    • Double Magic Shot and Triple Shot cost the normal eitr or stamina instead of three times as much (server).
    • Double Magic Shot doubles a summoning staff's summon limit (server).
    • Shardstones can be socketed even when their effect clashes with one the item has (server).
    • Lucky Loot works on birds (server) and shows a message when it triggers (personal).
    • Enchanted staffs show their eitr cost in the tooltip (personal).
  • Visual effects (section 7, personal, only with Epic Loot): hide the Glowing aura, all enchantment effects, or legendary textures on your screen.
  • Bug fixes (section 10, personal, only with Epic Loot): Epic Loot no longer goes through every item of every loaded chest each second when nothing changed.
  • The stations, carts and boats and map settings have their own sections (12 Smelters and kilns, 13 Fermenters, 14 Crafting stations, 15 Carts and boats, 16 Map), and the bed and trophies are 17 and 18. Values set in 1.3.0's combined section carry over.
  • Switching from Spearfishing or Epic Loot Add-ons: remove them; their settings are copied over on first launch.
  • Everyone, including the server, needs 1.4.0; 1.3.x can't join a 1.4.0 server.

1.3.0 — update needed

  • Quality of life (section 11, personal unless noted):
    • Recovering your tombstone puts every item back in the slot it had when you died.
    • Walking over a weapon or tool with empty hands no longer equips it.
    • The hammer menu updates live as you move in and out of workbench or chest range.
    • Creature health bars show while holding the hammer, hoe or cultivator.
    • Combat health bars stay visible through mist, trees and buildings; an enemy attacking you within 15 m shows through anything.
    • Taming progress shows from health-bar range, and big animals can be petted or renamed while standing beside them.
    • With Equipment & Quick Slots, auto-pickup moves to ] when a quick slot uses V, so V can't switch it off by accident.
    • Tamed animals don't trample farm crops (server).
    • Swim skill raises swim speed, up to +25% at level 100 (server).
  • Smelters, fermenters, crafting stations, carts and boats, map (sections 12–16, server):
    • Station, fermenter, range and map settings start at the game's normal values, so they change nothing until you set them.
    • Smelter-type stations (smelter, blast furnace, charcoal kiln, eitr refinery, spinning wheel, windmill): ore capacity, fuel capacity, speed, fuel per product and output, with a list of stations to leave alone.
    • Fermenters: speed and output.
    • Crafting station range and map reveal radius multipliers.
    • Carts and boats built from now on get more health the higher their builder's Crafting skill: carts up to +400%, boats up to +100% at Crafting 100 (adjustable, 0 = off).
  • Visual effects (section 7, personal): the upgrade glow, tree-felling dust and a new combat effects dimmer now sit together. The dimmer makes burning, frost and poison effects, hit bursts and impact effects on creatures fainter, darker or smaller. Your upgrade glow settings carry over.
  • Double dragon bed (section 17): two players can claim and sleep in the dragon bed, each respawning on their own half, with blankets. Ported from Double Dragon Bed; beds claimed with it keep their owners.
  • Trophy pity (section 18): each kill without a trophy raises that creature's next trophy chance until it drops; the Trophies tab shows the chances and, spoiler-free, the trophies still missing.
  • Switching from Double Dragon Bed, Dimmer Combat Particle Effects or TrophyAssister: remove them; their settings (and TrophyAssister's pity counts) are copied over on first launch.
  • New icon: the viking potato.
  • Everyone, including the server, needs 1.3.0; 1.2.x can't join a 1.3.0 server.

1.2.0 — update needed

  • Cancel an attack into a block: pressing block mid-swing drops the attack and raises your guard, so you can parry. Server setting, on by default.
  • Epic Loot bounty fixes (only when Epic Loot is installed; server settings):
    • Bounties complete when the main target dies; minions are optional. Contracts whose target already died finish too.
    • New bounties spread out across their biome, at least 300 m from other open bounties and treasure, instead of piling onto the same spots.
    • Bounty creatures no longer stand still while the ground's pathing is still loading.
    • The main target drops one extra copy of each enchanted item (each with its own enchantments) and always at least one enchanted item.
    • A small overhead name and health bar on bounty targets (each player can turn it off).
    • With StarLevelSystem: targets keep Epic Loot's extra health after reloading or changing hands, and scale with stars like ordinary creatures instead of bosses.
  • Game bug fixes (section 10):
    • Fast second bow shots at high Bows skill are no longer silently dropped; they fire as soon as the bow is ready (blocking cancels them).
    • Swinging from a ship's deck hits logs and creatures on the deck instead of the ship.
    • A broken fuling shaman shield stops absorbing arrows that land together.
    • Plants no longer stop growing for good after a lag spike.
    • Long buried ore veins keep their support instead of breaking off.
    • Overdue berry bushes and other pickables regrow as soon as a player is near, and keep their saved regrowth time.
  • Epic Loot enchantment fixes (section 10, only when Epic Loot is installed): Riches, Fire Rate, Noise, +Ranged Skills, Meads Cooldown with Instant Mead, Indestructible armor, Bountiful Harvest on other players' plants, Quick Draw crossbow reload, and Air Jump near the ground.
  • Everyone, including the server, needs 1.2.0; 1.1.x can't join a 1.2.0 server.

1.1.3

  • New look for the top of the mod page. No changes to the mod itself; you don't need to update from 1.1.2.

1.1.2

  • Added an Upgrade glow slider (section 7): sets how strongly gear upgraded past its normal max level glows. 1 = the game's normal glow, 0 = no glow, up to 2 = twice as strong. Each player sets their own, and the change shows at once on gear already out.
  • Glowing gear keeps its intended brightness when its effect is switched off and on again (the game re-read values it had already boosted).
  • 1.1.x players can still play together.

1.1.1

  • Clearer description of the skill settings: they start at the game's normal values and are set by the server. Copying settings from the SkillLoss mod only happens for servers switching from it. No gameplay changes; 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 players can play together.

1.1.0

  • Added tombstone retrieval: retrievetomb / gettomb in the console, /retrievetomb in chat. Moved tombstones stay where they are put (the game's saved drop point moves with them, so they no longer snap back to the death site).
  • Added per-skill death loss and XP multipliers, set by the server and starting at the game's normal values. Servers switching from the SkillLoss mod get their old values copied over on first launch.
  • If Tomb Retriever or SkillLoss is still installed, the matching feature stays off with a warning instead of doubling up.

1.0.0

  • First release: farther camera zoom, 3-hour dropped items, and Ctrl + hammer remove to take apart ships and carts.
